Regrets of all sorts are all too common among buyers. According to a 2017 Trulia survey, 44 percent of Americans have a regret about their home or the process they went through when choosing it. And bad timing can undo the best-laid plans. It can cost big bucks, too, at a time when more than half of buyers find homes unaffordable.

•Research shows that 44% of Americans feel some form of regret about buying their home.

•Be sure you are ready to put the time and money required into the upkeep and maintenance of a home.

•Big decisions can often be emotional, so try to think rationally and realistically before committing to buying a property.

So you'll want to avoid expensive and stressful timing mistakes by reading below. The homeowners in them wish they had known what they're about to tell us.

1. Prisca Weems of New Orleans

2. Vance and Kristen Adams of Henderson, Nevada

3. Toby Studley of Seven Springs, Pennsylvania

Maybe the Fed will take it off their hands.

Please be patient - interesting times are coming to a neighborhood near you. T

The last two homes that went up for sale in my neighborhood didn't last 72 hours and I am getting bombarded with do I want to sell letters from agents of every description. The first home was gone in less than 36 hours and the other one between 48 and 72 hours.

Seen this movie before and I didn't like the ending.

I’m seeing a lot of homes listed for sale in my area, and it’s barely March

I’m a housing bear at this time, but even i would say the listed reasons aren’t bubble indicators. Some regretting not getting a larger home are not pressed to sell theirs at a loss.

Name any price and list it Shanghai and in minutes a fugitive PRC Army officer will arrive at your house with your asking price in cash because the value of any crap shack in the US is infinite, exactly as the Realtors instruct.

Everyone experience some form of buyers remorse. In a consumerist society, fore-thought is rare. The top two boxes in that diagram aren't really regrets, they're more wishes.

There is another thread on the next housing bubble, actually quite a few around the internet.
