Since 2016, the Rules Committee has not let a single bill or amendment related to marijuana reach the House floor

Seriously, wtf is wrong with Republicans and the “Americans” who sit by idly as silent accomplices and allow it to happen?

Are they that stupid, or do they just hate Freedom so much because they are Failed Losers?

Marijuana! was banned because it made white women want sex with black men. This is why it is banned now as well, the other reason being that smoking marijuana will deliver you into hands of terrorists instantly and will resurrect Bin Laden. Oh yes, it will take away some of pharma profits, and JESUS! never smoked marijuana, so you should not either.

And more seriously - yes, yes, and yes are answers to your questions. Exactly like Democrats and Affirmative Action.

Yes, because this is the most pressing problem facing the country today, nothing else even comes close!

Correct. Pretty much at the top of the list.

What do you see as more pressing?

Decriminalization of marijuana would save a lot of $$$ as prison population would plummet, we would need less cops, prisons, etc. So it is quite important, perhaps more important than all grand posturing in House which nearly always ends in more spending.

Many in favor (and/or let states' rights rule).

Your point?

The point is that you shout damn those Republicans whereas many are in favor or legalization or partial legalization. However on the left pretty much everybody is towing the party line. Also despite Sessions tough rhetoric states rights have been left mostly untouched so far. In a few years it will be legal pretty much everywhere for personal consumption.

What is the point of having a discussion if you insist on being dishonest?

If Republicans desire an end to Prohibition, what is the hold up?

Why do you demand that Americans continue to suffer for a few more years?

What’s the hold up?

If you take the stance on transgenderism, DACA, sanctuary cities etc. - pick any topic - 99% of the left will answer unisono. However take MJ, abortion, gay marriage etc. and you see the Republican party is much more diverse in opinion. That's why it had a rough battle during the election years and was split in at least 2, if not 3 wings. At least there was some dissent around Hillary (from Bernie supporters) but by far not as loud as the battle of candidates in the Republican party. When it came to election night Hillary hat put the law down and everybody, incl. Bernie who got fucked over by her - kissed her ass. Compare that to the opposition and tough talk around Trump since he became candidate til now.

Nothing dishonest about it, it's a power struggle, maybe similar to Bernie having lesser pull than Hillary, but at least they speak their opinion and vote that way. My prediction is they will pass some laws within the next few years. Also as mentioned before, they are not actively raiding anything or trouncing on state's laws so far. So prohibition is a bit of hyperbole given the fact you can smoke a joint in many US states daily and never be bothered. Legalization will come.

Bad laws harm good people

As a Real American, I have skin in the game, which is why I won’t make excuses for POS politicians who thrust their heinous laws on the citizenry.

The only reason I can think of as to why anyone would make excuses for politicians and bad laws, is that they are ignorant, or not Real Americans. Either way, it’s a sad, sad, tragedy that people will support these assholes and sit by idly while Actual Americans suffer

It’s a common theme with people who claim to be Libertarian yet always support Republicans without even vetting them, will never ever criticize them, and instead focus all their energy on nonsense and attack liberals constantly,to lie and pretend it’s no big deal. Try needing Medical Cannabis when you’re sick and having Police kick down your door, shoot your dog, ransack your home, and seize all your hard earned money and then get back to me how it’s no big deal.

Oh but CNN Muh Hillary kek kek kek reeeeeee MAGA GOOGOO GAGA!!! Important stuff

Unlike the runaway healthcare costs, which Cannabis can combat

Unlike all the jobs that Cannabis industry creates

Unlike all the wealth and health Cannabis would bring post Prohibition

Unlike the opiod crisis which Cannabis is the best remedy

Or our Veterans who need medicine, fuck them, they can wait a few years, right?

Donald Trump is a fucking pussy and it’s obvious why he attracts the type of Trumpcucks that he attracts. Spineless twits with daddy issues, fantasizing about Tranny Cock and getting all riled up over the Brown Bogie man taking their jobs

Fucking Morons

The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.
