The North American Bitcoin Conference, which will take place in Miami next week, is no longer allowing people to pay for tickets with cryptocurrencies due to “network congestion and manual processing” issues. The ticketing page for the conference notes that it had accepted such forms of payment up until 14 days before the event, but that bitcoin transactions would not be possible for last-minute buyers because of “print deadlines.”

Moe Levin, the conference’s organizer, told Bitcoin.com, “We wish this was easier, but no ticketing options exist which can handle large volumes of ticket sales, and transaction fees on the Bitcoin blockchain exceed $30 at certain times of the day.”

Ha! As usual we'll hear about this being the future. We'll have Samuel L Jackson asking us, "what's in your blockchain?" The advanced theory of a shared google spreadsheet called blockchain is upon us. I for one enjoy sharing a delicious spreadsheet with the public. Keeps me up at night in all honesty.

The irony in this article and quotes is rather hysterical.

The currency of the future has processing times lasting days just do complete an insignificant transaction.

Bitcoin, tomorrow's pet rock.

No, but it's looking like tulip bulbs are the next big thing.

In another stunning revelation, our currency of the future is really shining through. My question is, technically, whoever is using the amazing google spreadsheet known as blockchain now guilty of distributing child porn? Patrick, feel free to edit this post as I'm not sure you want these terms on your site or maybe in doesn't matter. In all seriousness the article states it was just links, but still fucking sick if you ask me.
