Is you CA DL about to expire? Don't renew it by mail.

Unless you want to get the same kind of ID CA issues to illegals, that is.

This is the shit you'll get if you renew by mail:

With this kind of DL you won't be able to go into Federal facility which requires ID, buy a firearm (or even ammo in CA), and, beginning Oct 1, 2020, board a domestic flight.

To get this, you'll have to go in with a bunch of papers in hand:

The federal REAL ID Act of 2005 was passed by Congress in response to the events of 9/11. Under the REAL ID Act, all states must meet requirements set by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for its driver licenses and identification cards to be accepted for federal purposes, such as boarding a domestic flight or visiting a military base or certain federal facilities, by October 1, 2020.

Coming to ALL states by October 1, 2020. I guess just another example of how CA is ahead of the curve.

Real ID is supposed to verify you're a US citizen, not create doubt.

Another example of Moonbeam's Calhounist obstructionism.

Time for a new Force Act.

Any body seen the lines at a CA dmv lately? OMG! Out the door! I wonder if this can be taken care of at a AAA?

Here's what Mumbles Menino did once to get all the many Universities and Colleges that were sucking up all the commercial and residential space in Boston, then paying low/no tax because they were Non-profits, when they filled them up with Burger Kings and Bookstores and even rented apartments to the general public for profit while paying the non-profit property tax rate.

He sent out the elevator inspectors with instructions to throw the book at them for every single last issue they could possibly find.

After the Admins couldn't access their top floor offices without taking the elevator, and all the chaos that ensued, they struck a deal.

An idea for Trump. Get some Federal Inspectors out to CA Public Infrastructure and start shutting them down for EPA violations, OSHA violations, anything.

"Oh sorry, this office building in Sacramento next to the statehouse, with the Teacher's Union on the top 30th floor and SEIU on the 9th Floor or whatever, yeah, the HVAC system, it's violating a few statutes. You have to turn them off."
Or better yet:
"Sheesh, this White Liberal Area school isn't diverse enough. We're bringing Federal Charges until you integrate this school with some Hommies from Watts"

If CA wants to play Clever, Trump should return the favor.

Oh come on. Every state will have to comply. How is this Browns doing? He is just ahead of the curve. Why do people want to make this into something it is not? So disingenuous.

CA tricking US citizens into getting the same kind of DLs it issues to illegals is "ahead of the curve". A curve going were?

This is what Real ID act requires and this is exactly what CA required before the whole "give DLs to illegals" shit began:

"Before a card can be issued, the applicant must provide the following documentation:

A photo ID, or a non-photo ID that includes full legal name and birthdate
Documentation of birthdate
Documentation of legal status and Social Security number
Documentation showing name and principal residence address"

This is what I had to provide when I received my first CA DL way back when. Why the fuck I now have to go back in again to prove my status once more? It makes no fucking sense. Unless it's a plot to trick citizens into getting the same kind of DLs they give to illegals, further blurring the line.

Yeah, well, when Trump starts shutting down LA's aqueducts to the bare minimum for EPA violations because a few grates are too wide that allows the rare Californian Spotted Shrew to fall into the water supply, that's just the EPA protecting the animals as required by law.

Great fuck with the sixth largest economy out of spit. Would you stand for such a waste of taxpayer dollars? Why?

It would go to the courts wasting even more taxpayer funds. Stupidest idea I've heard of.

Well, the sixth largest economy is picking a fight with the world's greatest superpower.

Exactly how are they being tricked? Like I said this will be the standard of every state. If you want a real I'd you will have to take documents to that states DMV. This is a federal requirement it's not only California that must comply.

The DMV has the paperwork that shows they're Citizens.

I think they are grossly miscalculating the blowback that is headed their way.

If you get renewal notice as usual, and renew by mail as you did many times before, you'll now get an inferior "illegal-type" DL instead of the standard one. This is how.

CA used to require the same documentation listed in Real ID Act long before 2005 (or 9/11 for that matter). The DLs they started to give to illegals all have "special language". Now, why the fuck the citizens who renew their old DLs are automatically getting inferior DLs?

So many Coastie Californians think their infrastructure was built 50 years ago and now they can wash their hands of it, no pun intended.

That 50s governor was a damned genius. People USED to look for California for modern infrastructure, today they're like "How the fuck are they taxed so much and their infrastructure is total shit?"

And I am grateful that you pointed this out but how will other States not have the same exact problem.

For me if I can't go to AAA then I'll just use my passport when I travel. No biggie.

Again thanks, knowing is half the battle.

I wonder if those who used this info long ago still have to reapply for a real id.

"All other states" don't give DLs to illegals. And I doubt all other states will employ the sneaky approach of quietly replacing existing DLs with non-compliant ones.

Is that the "AB 60" driver's license?

Just learning about this now.

Totally planned non-compliance, doing the maximum to obsfucate. Unfortunately, Moonbeam always finds ways to waste Taxpayer Money, just now on lawsuits they'll lose.

You need to explicitly reapply for Real ID and go in. There is no option to get it by mail.

It appears like there won't be difference between AB60 and "regular" DL anymore. Both will be sporting "FEDERAL LIMITS APPLY" language in the top right corner. My current "regular" CA DL doesn't have this shit.

I remember in the 80s getting my first CA DL and bringing in my original birth certificate and being told to come back with a new one from the county. The DMV employee told me they had too many Illegals bring in fakes can’t imagine how bad it is now.

Here's another Great Trump Way to sock one to Moonbeam:

Get the Republican Congress to offer a $500 tax credit to anybody who has to renew a DL because of Real ID. You have to include a photocopy of your Real ID to get it.

That way only legit tax payers will get compensated, and it'll preempt any attempts by the CA Legislature and Moonbeam to say "Oh, the Republican Real ID was SUCH a burden on you when you had to appear in person to renew."

The Housing Trap
You're being set up to spend your life paying off a debt you don't need to take on, for a house that costs far more than it should. The conspirators are all around you, smiling to lure you in, carefully choosing their words and watching your reactions as they push your buttons, anxiously waiting for the moment when you sign the papers that will trap you and guarantee their payoff. Don't be just another victim of the housing market. Use this book to defend your freedom and defeat their schemes. You can win the game, but first you have to learn how to play it.
