For $36,000 you can get a barebones "Tiny Home". Take a look at the interior:
Good luck with the code, even in the boonies. Anywhere there is a job, there's pretty much gonna be some PITA code. And, not including electric and sewer, it could easily cost thousands more just to legally install it on the property.
Or, you could get a 10-year old trailer, that comes with a full set of appliances - not just a toaster oven and a fluorescent strip light and a socket or two. This is what $36,000 buys you:
It's also got a skylight and a ceiling vent fan. And of course, a diesel engine so it can move itself AND provide power. And electric and sewer is easily plugged in a huge assortment of places.
Don't be a Green Trust Fund Baby who thinks they're all cutting edge and smart, when a trailer would get them a ton more shit (including a diesel engine and a "house" that moves itself) but isn't so "Tiny Home Trendy Cool"
I'm trying to sell the whole thing. The problem is, the broke Millennials have no money, and with their 520 FICO scores, can't get approved for a loan. It's been an absolutely eye-opening experience dealing with potential tiny house buyers, and it hasn't been good. What a large group of ignorant and clueless humans (who don't pay their bills).
This is the generation going to be running the country when we are in retirement. We are SO fucked!
