PA-18. Saccone ran a sluggish campaign, but Trump is very popular.

Will the democrats FINALLY win a Federal special election?

(I know the media has been harping over victories with tiny state Legislative district races as a Big Deal, but they ain't national, and the Dems are so far behind in State elections they almost can't lose any more.)

I'm just waiting for the DNC to bring out some 62 year old hag that claims to have had her butt grabbed by Saccone 30 years ago at some random function that no one remembers even occurred, or how Saccone once called someone a nigger, even though he is married to an immigrant.

Looking like the Democrats will flip another seat.

Moving forward, will Republicans distance themselves from Trump?

Old Money's Lead narrowed down to less than half a percentage point. Lamb is running as a Republican. Pro-Guns, Pro-Life, Pro-Tariffs.

If the Dems win, they'll be 3 wins for the past 7 special elections in both Houses since November 2016. Not exactly a blue tsunami.

And this district goes bye-bye in the next election due to Court-ordered redistricting.

Westmoreland Districts haven't counted yet.

Wow it’s getting close

Down to the wire!

0.5% margin triggers an automatic recount

Whoa....

Per RCP:

Lamb (D) 107,155 ----- 49.8%
Saccone (R) 106,570 ------ 49.6%
Miller (L) 1,304 ------ 0.6%

with 98% reporting.

It was a +5 point spread for Lamb a half hour ago.

That's how Lamb ran. "Personally" Pro-Life, and not in favor of Gun Control, and Pro-Tariff.

Gun control: He's called for a stronger system of background checks but no new gun restrictions. "I believe we have a pretty good law on the books and it says on paper that there are a lot of people who should never get guns in their hands," Lamb said.
Tariffs: He supports President Donald Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs, saying at a debate that "we have to take some action to level the playing field."
Abortion: Lamb personally opposes abortion but backs the Supreme Court's decision legalizing it. "Once you make something a right, it's a right. And it's like that for a reason," he told HuffPost. Lamb told the Weekly Standard he doesn't support a ban on abortion at 20 weeks

Lamb is not exactly in Gabbard or Schumer territory, he's about as a Blue Dog as can be - or at least is running as one.

Westmoreland, good Lord almighty, are you counting by Amish tallow candles over there? Also not in: late absentee ballots.

Very very close election.

Maybe not, the last poll before the election had Lamb +6%.

Now, it's a dead even in voting.

Looks like the polls were WRONG again leading up to an election.

Correct Take-away: The whole country is competitive for Democrats - who run as Pro-Tariff, Pro-Gun, Anti-Pelosi* types Maybe the Dems need to rethink their Anti-American Labor positions.

Vox and CNN Probable Take-away: The whole country is competitive for Democrats - who run as Anti-Tariff, Anti-Gun, Pro-Pelosi Corporate Socialism. Preferably Black Left-handed Lesbians who want wide Open Borders, say the country's main problem is a lack of bathrooms for Trannies, that Whites will be Replaced, and a repeal of the 2nd Amendment.

* Conor Lamb promised he would NOT vote for Pelosi as Speaker.

Yea but Trump came and stumped for Sarcone. I thought America loved Trump and hated the Democrats? Especially working class Americans in Steel country?

This is the difference between liberals and Trump supporters. trump supporters don't care about Trump. I will gladly vote for a democrat who is anti war on drugs, pro 1st amendment , does not believe in 54 genders, pro tariffs, anti free trade etc etc,
That si what dems don't get.

Turns out Democrats can win in the Rustbelt when hey don't push an anti-American Economic and Cultural Policy of blaming Whitey, blaming Men, banning Guns, Open Borders and "Free" Trade.

Lamb ran on the opposite positions of what much of the Core Democratic Base holds dear.

it also helped that the outgoing allegedly Pro-Life incumbent pressured his mistress into having an abortion in a big Catholic Area, and that Saccone took a Right to Work position in what is also a big Union area.

Not all of them, he wants college debt to disappear, so he's carrying some of the water for the Socialists.

Correction, America loved Trump and hates career, incumbent politicians.

This country is pretty 50/50 split for republican and Democrat at this point. If Democrats distance themselves from Hilary they will be fine going forward. Should win national elections no problem with a likeable attractive democrat like Obama.
