You can watch weather satellites of North America and you actually see Cloud blooms in the Yucatan diminish, as weather systems build in the Caribbean.
The sat loop of the time it takes to displace all of that water, it is obviously flying as fast as Jet Airliner.
I've been on several flights where you can see it happen, when you run into one of those. It almost looks like you're flying under water, there aren't individual rain drop streaks on the windows. There complete flowing water over them. The Plane rocks and jolts like it was broad sided by a truck.
I would bet anything that many unsolved Plane Crashes have been caused by the force of that water breaking the plane in half, or actually drowning the Jet engines.

None of this has to do with Global Warming we're just finally realizing how the upper Atmosphere is far more dynamic and active that we once realized.
