There is no room to build housing in Reno?

The pace of urbanization in the world today is such that a city like New York should be created EVERY 37 DAYS until 2050 to fit an extra 2.5 billions people into cities.

These cities aren't gonna build themselves.

The problem isn't sheer numbers(though much of that issue would be resolved if Democrats would step aside and allow illegals to be deported) so much as it is leftist policies that imbecile exile Californians bring with them when they move. Nevada is a pretty outstanding place, though it will horribly suck if it eventually takes on the role of a nanny state such as what exists in California.

Institute a state tax in Nevada and a full time legislature, and what do you have other than a big giant Lancracker/Palmtucky.

Immigration or not, the USA has 40 millions more people than it had in 2000.
And close to 100 millions more than it had in 1980. What new cities were built since 1980?

The population of the entire CA is around 40 millions.

Almost every California county, city, town, village, or whatever you call it, must have had a big jump in it's population since 1980. The problem is we don't build upwards, we build sideways. And now no one wants more homes in their neighborhoods.
If I was 30 years old with a family, and could not afford a home, I would move to Florida. My choices:
1. Florida
2. Las Vegas
3. Seattle
4. Texas

Las Vegas is a filthy pit, brown surroundings, brown air, hot as shit, and tons of homeless/junkies.
It’s just ugly and I’d never want to live there.

Eek, one good thing about living in the frozen realm is that homeless seem to disappear!

It’s only uncomfortably hot from June to September. The air isn’t brown at all and the homeless and junkies can be avoided(though that won’t be the case if the “social safety net” is expanded.

I visit 6-10 times a year and have for the past 20 or so years. I like it.

That would depend on where in Las Vegas. Lake Las Vegas in Henderson is awesome. Tried buying condos there when they were cheap cheap cheap. Did not work.
As for brown air....I do not notice that every time i go there. I do notice brown air when I return to the LA area. None where I live now in North San Diego County.
I can't handle pollution, which is one reason I moved to where I am right now. Also why I hate fossil fuels.

They all end up in CA where government panders to hobos, illegals and gays.

It's the world capital of bad taste.
