5G, Now with Five Times the Cancer!

But who cares, as long as you have your life of convenience, bring on the tumors right!

I actually moved from a rental after buying a device that measures RF radiation when I found that the levels in and around my house were way above what FCC says is safe. Reason for all that radiation, three large cellphone towers less than 1200 feet from my house. Used the same device when we were forced to switch internet to ATT(no one else services our building currently due to underground wiring being the standard for the complex). Found out their shitty modem/router combo served up a heaping portion of radiation when 2.4ghz was active. Actually went back to using my old Asus N66U, because the ATT router couldn't get 5ghz signal to our bedroom, but the Asus could, without any of it's antenna's.

I once vacationed in Peru for a whole month. I bought a prepaid cellular service to keep in touch with the company I was doing programming for, with daily updates and briefings.
The phone I bought was a Desktop Office phone style with a flip out antenna and a sim card in the back. It had a hand held receiver like a desk phone with curly cord.

I think that will be the kind of phone I will want when 5G becomes the norm.

I have a princess type phone for the desk, comfortable enough to shoulder cradle when I have to take notes. Too bad the copper service is decaying.

Except for that the radiation levels you get when using a handheld very close to you are much higher than the ones of a cell phone tower in your hood. Still it would be wise to monitor any safety-concerns and make sure they are not too close to dwellings, however if you think that kind of radiation is harmful then you should start at home and with the devices right next to you.

Use bluetooth wireless receiver, it runs at 30khz, much safer frequency, keep the cellphone away from your body. Mine lies unanswered most of the time now because I'm not wearing bluetooth all over the place, leave a voicemail. Same for texting, don't bother, I may or may not get back to you. Send me an email instead.

I guess we need 5g, you'll have towers everywhere/anywhere they can link up to fiber/cable, etc., their is no escape at that point.

I'm saving up to get out of the city somehow, may or not make it, remote properties are cheap and affordable but you'll have to get your internet through the satellite. I think the trick is to slowly unplug and learn how to go without.

We need cell phones with targeted brain damage to assure the future of the Democratic Party.

From what I noticed when I measured, cellphones put out a more infrequent radiation than towers, or wifi routers, though the numbers can certainly be similar. I did briefly consider having an emergency cellphone this year, but couldn't reconcile the health concerns, and decided it wasn't worth it. We pretty much stopped using the microwave a few years ago due to the same concerns.

Not 30kHz, 2.4GHz. There's a bit of a difference there ;-)

Wow, I can see your concerns then. It would probably not do much to point out that I think they are somewhat overblown, but to each their own. If you don't stand right next to the microwave while it's operating it's totally fine to use, but it's certainly the easier item to get rid off. These days radiation from cell towers, wifi concentrators and routers is all around you, if it would have such a big impact we'd seen it in the general population. That being said, not spending hours with your cell phone attached to your head and putting it at least a foot away from you at night is not the worst idea. Some hoods have radio towers which likely emit much stronger signals, some have power grid concentrators or strong electrical lines, some have radon gas in their basements or their houses are based on old manufacturing landfills (esp. in SV), and then there are certain areas that are supposedly spared from the city/SV WIFI pollution such as Marin county but have had traditionally higher disease rates and nobody knows why. I think minor side effects like sleeplessness or lesser quality sleep and sensitivities are much more likely and frequent, but we def have increased out Wifi pollution over the years by quite a bit.

Also an advantage of having a cell phone is that you can use it as a hotspot which has less signal strength than a traditional router (works fine in the same room and maybe in directly adjacent rooms) and then turn it off when you don't need it instead of having to turn on and off and boot your router all the time.

There has certainly been a large increase in pollution across the board since the 1900's. When it comes to health, I know I can't eliminate every pollutant as long as I'm living in a city, but I can do something about the ones I'm aware of. Health is a lifelong journey, and there's always more to learn. As long as we're moving forward, I think that's what's important.

Health is holistic, so anything I can do to reduce the toxic burden on my system is beneficial. My biggest indicator of if I'm on the right track has always been our daughters. They have outstanding health, no allergies, and hardly ever get sick. My wife and I were not nearly as healthy as kids, so it's not genetic.
