I guess making Lando a pansexual wasn't the marketing genius move Kennedy thought it would be?

So the question remains, how long will Disney put up with Kennedy's IP killing agenda? By some estimates, we're talking at least $150 million in damages thus far between Last Jedi and Solo.

They'll slobber on each other's pussies for a while and get back to you on that.

It’s a huge question as to whether this film will break even.

Remember Star Wars Episode 1 with Jar Jar Binks was immensely profitable.

I love how they are trying to blame it on fatigue, there have been a ton of marvel movies and they are doing great. They just can’t face the fact that they have a bunch of feminists with an agenda running a franchise that was designed to attract primarily boys. The only reason they have made money is because they have been running on the coattails of the original movies. I don’t even see how they can change course at this point they have permanently damaged the brand for short term profits.

The pick for Hans Solo was all wrong. I'm tired of these Pan sexual Soy Boys.
For a younger Hans I would have went with someone like a young Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Reynolds, or even Chris Pratt.
Hans was quick witted and had excellent delivery. His character isn't a K-Pop pin up Boy.

These last series of Star Wars films were way off the mark on Casting. They feel more like SJW SiFy channel production than remnants of the Lucas legacy.

Alden Ehrenreich seems more like a casting decision Sergio Leone would have made for a Spaghetti Western flick. Sergio was fond of Soy Boys that's why all of his Western characters had to be under the age 21.

Exactly, there have been literally double the Marvel movies released in the past 5 years, and Infinity Wars continues to break records in gross ticket sales. Maybe it's because they didn't turn Thanos into a tranny.

Hollywood taken over SJW retards. Kind of sad, iconic American industry is destroying itself. On decline, by it's own stupidity. Can't blame anyone else for it, they are just out of touch with reality and the world.

Democrats are trying to change culture utilizing Hollywood as one of their primary tools.

However, there has been push back, and it's up to the Democrats to decide how much money they want to lose in this culture war. My guess is they will bleed out Hollywood in some misguided attempt to change the culture of America, and that's fine by me.

A centerfold of Vice Admiral Holdo splaying flagrant beaver shots will return the franchise to its traditional base of frenzied, masturbating, pimpled young men.
13   Heraclitusstudent   2018 May 30, 3:45pm

Note Leia also had a vaguely feminist streak.
The 70s brand of sci-fi feminism was somehow not as irritating.
Alien's Ripley would have smooched that Holdo into submission.
14   Ceffer   2018 May 30, 3:50pm

That's it. A nude wrestling match between Holdo, Ripley and Leia, with Jabba licking his balls on the sideline.
15   HowdyThere   2018 May 30, 6:37pm

My favourite Star Wars movie is the one where Capt Kirk sleeps with the green chick. They should do more movies like that.

Forbes "As 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Flops, Are Movies About White Men Box Office Poison?"

Solo flops because main character is a white guy? No it fucking flopped because the two other Star Wars movies were such garbage because of feminist sjw crap. Brand is damaged and the main audience that likes Star Wars isn't buying.

Delusional they just can't come out and say what is the real problem.

If that were so, then rightly so our biggest box office hits would be Chinese and Korean flicks.
Tom Cruise will still pack them in.
18   Patrick   2018 May 31, 6:42pm

I'm very happy I did not give them any money for such insulting crap.

Overall, perhaps it is a good thing that militant feminists are actively murdering what used to be Star Wars.

The ugly PC politics inflicted on paying customers in mainstream theaters makes it much more likely that small independent producers who create quality content will get an audience via the internet.

Maybe we will see the rise of guys like the early George Lucas once again. Guys who make movies that guys actually want to see.

22   theoakman   2018 Jun 2, 8:24am

I would recommend the you tube Karate Kid continuation, Cobra Kai. Johnny Lawrence regularly called the kids at the dojo out on the allergy, feelings, and PC bullshit and it was hilarious. Really funny delivery. He ends up turning the wimps in school into badasses.

Next starwars may have trigglypuff as jabba the hut-wait maybe she may become the hero?

Disney was brimming with plans to fill out the Star Wars universe with standalone stories like Rogue One and Solo. In fact, movies about Obi-Wan Kenobi and the bounty hunter Boba Fett were already in active development along with three new trilogies including one from Last Jedi director, Rian Johnson.

Collider is now reporting Lucasfilm has retreated from these plans in order to “focus their attention on Star Wars: Episode IX and how to proceed after that. Disney paid $4.06 billion to buy the rights to Stars Wars from George Lucas and they aren’t even close to getting that money back.

According to Deadline, 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, grossed $780 million in net profit. The Last Jedi generated $418 million in net profit. Rogue One brought in $319 million. That is roughly 1.5 billion in net profit. Now subtract at least a $250 million loss for Solo and a fractured fanbase, Disney is in trouble.

Don’t let the Kelly Marie Tran story distract you from the fact that if Star Wars: Episode IX bombs in 2019, it is over for Disney’s Star Wars

The last Jedi was a great movie, it perfectly transitioned away from the older series and the nostalgia-fest that had to be the first movie. Not saying I didn't love The Force Awakens, it was great. Just saying they can't do that for three movies, and at some point you have to move the old characters to the background, and let the new one's take over.

The SJW shit you guys are projecting on Last Jedi is totally subjective. If you don't believe me, read through my posts. I'm possibly the most politically incorrect person here(though the bar is set pretty high). I didn't pick up on any feminist leanings.

Did you guys seriously forget about Mon Mothma in Return of the Jedi?

Does seem like a lot of people here have SJW glasses they see everything in life with. Maybe it just wasn't a very good movie. Nah say it ain't so joe.

I just watched it again last night with the kids on Netflix. When you fast forward through all of the casino world shit it cuts 20 minutes and the movie is much better. There are some really great things in it. I like Rey and Kylo Ren scenes and story.

But there were some mind boggling stupid bits too. Why did Holdo not tell Poe her fucking plan and waste time with the the preposterous mission to the Casino planet to find a code breaker and then the mutiny? Luke was completely wasted. Leia Mary Poppins??? Snoke wasted?

No one can edit worth a shit for the last 20 years or so. Seems like every second of shooting has to go into the films no matter what. I guess shooting is so expensive no one wants to leave anything on the cutting room floor. At least 90% of the movies I have watched can have 25% or more edited out. The other problem is ponderous dialogue in monotone. Somewhere along the line tension and tight interplay has died. Even action sequences manage to have totally flat dialogue. It's like actors are taking eeyore from winnie the poo as their mentor. The exception to that being almost any film by Tom Hanks. Every director today should be forced to watch Charlie Wilsons War 100 times to see how dialogue and editing is supposed to be done.

That's great advice for Kathleen Kennedy.

Cause you see, apparently Star Wars fans are supposed to accept that this is a great, decorated, rebel, general.

I heard Iger was subdued but furious during the corporate conference call. Disney paid $4 billion dollars for the Star Wars brand, and it looks like Kathleen Kennedy may have killed it in less than 5 years.

All of the horrible editing, horrible writing, bad editing aside. One of the things that sunk this new trilogy is the poor casting I really don’t like any of the new main characters but then again it could be that the writing is what ruined them too. They did a major disservice to the way they transitioned all of the old characters they only had one chance to do this right and they screwed it up especially with Luke. Last and this one I cannot understand why they would screwed this up, they should have had all three movies already written and carefully planned so they all meshed together well in one fluid story. Star Wars is a total cash cow I just don’t understand how they would let different directors just do their own thing with each part of the trilogy they still have to make the third one but to me they already totaled the trilogy after TLJ and I don’t think it matters what they do at this point.

Solo is another perfect example they really fucked it up, I hope that they come out with a version that shows what it looked like before the whole thing was reshot. How could they justify spending over 300M on it without somebody not getting shit canned?
