I wonder how many people shit their pants at the airport leaving those countries. I remember the first time I went to Peru for a month vacation. Nausea, Diarrhea and Gut cramps were a constant companion for the first two weeks. We all pretty much hung close to MIL's house and didn't go anywhere much, until our third week there. Now I can go there and not get sick at all.

I’ve noticed that new places have new and exciting biology to which your gut must make acquaintance. That process involves a lot of diarrhea. Basically, it’s just different single celled organisms, especially in places where the water isn’t sterilized. Once you get used to it, you’re fine.

Yes when we lived in the Carolinas growing up, we would get a mild stomach bug when we would drink from different well systems you never drank out of before.

I went through security once and the scanner radiation made me shit my pants. It was explosive diarrhea and exceptionally noisy, which forced them to pat me down.
