Great piece from a Business Professor who worked with Trump several times.

I have often thought Trump was no dummie, and a master negotiator. I think the results so far speak for themselves. We will see what happens during the DPRK negotiations, but I'm not expecting miracles. But just moving the needle on this powerkeg would be a great achievement. I'm hoping for the best.
Next, Iran.

He didn't work with trump, he interviewed him and wrote about him.

Here is an actual business executive who worked with trump in a business partnership. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/nation-now/2016/11/06/dont-vote-trump-former-harrahs-executive/93353464/

Harrrah's went on to become the largest and most profitable casino operator in the world. Trump's casino's are all closed in bankruptcy. quod est demonstratum or as we say in my circles, let the ski's do the talking.

That's in line with what most competant and sane people think.

Above all else, however, I am convinced he simply does not have the temperament to be president, or more importantly, commander in chief: His hair trigger temper, bluster, racial rhetoric and divisive domestic and international views will endanger our democracy and risk permanent damage to our society.

Earlier he mentions the constant lies as well.

His written response to my letter of May 10 is characteristic of the bluster, threats, intemperance and unsupported and unsupportable falsehoods that have permeated the correspondence we have received from him and his key management employees almost since the beginning of our partnership.”

OF course none of this is new. Anyone who voted for the guy totally ignored tons of evidence of what kind of person Trump is.

And his other few hundred businesses and properties?

Thunderbird University?? Sorry, but that place is a joke. They had one of those for-profit MBA programs in the 1990s and man I was severely unimpressed with people that studied there.

This article was great! It neatly explained why Trump appears to lunge back and forth on policies and actions all the time, but always seems to wind up where he wants to be. I read Sun Tzu many years ago, but applying it to geopolitical economics is brilliant! Because that is how war is waged in our Information Age. Through trade and technology and the movement of money.

If Jeff Cunningham is correct about this, Trump will be the greatest President since FDR. And all the media and celebrities who have disrespected him will be looking exactly like the fools that they are.

Alleged. No one has seen any kind of audit that documents what trump actually owns, what are licensing deals, and how much is in hock. He started with 100's of millions of dollars, he should damn well own something to show for it.

Until he started branding and selling himself in the 90's (I will readily agree that Trump is one of history's greatest hucksters/self promoters) Trump's "success" consisted of daddy's money, daddy's political influence, government subsidies, and screwing over anyone who invested with him. I sat on a board in the mid 80's with David Barry owner of Applied Housing, a big Ny/NJ development company, who used to laugh that Trump was a total joke as a developer every time Trump got himself in the papers. David had great respect for Trump's father though.

There are lots of articles about how Trump ran the USFL into the ground as well. The other owners laughed at him and had zero respect for his business abilities.

Not to mention the NFL owners. The reason he now hates the NFL is because they told him in the 80s that there was no way he was ever going to be allowed to buy an NFL team. They knew he didn't really have $$ like he claimed, and they also knew his businesses were shady as hell.

And if he's not ?

Do you know why he is?

He's got all you guys thinking he's an idiot. Yet he constantly outmaneuvers his political opponents since Summer 2015.

"Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance."

'Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.'

But, I think you should go ahead and raise an Army a 2nd (or 3rd? 4th?) time to be yet again defeated when he tricks you into attacking where he only appears weak, like defending MS-13 in the name of immigration, or whatever strategem he's got cooked up this time.

I never thought he was an idiot. I said he was a poor developer, crappy manager, and fundementally dishonest. He's the smartest and best huckster out there bar none. An actual living iteration of svengali writ large on a mesmerized conservative base longing for someone to tell them what to believe. Faith over facts, you just need to believe and it will come true. Close your eyes and click your heels three times.

On the plus side trump has the most bankruptcy experience of anyone around which the US is going to need down the road after the tax cut.

Economy strongest in a long time, record low unemployment, strong stock market, near 3% annual GDP growth.

More popular than Reagan or Obama at this time in the Presidency, despite 90% Negative Oligarch Media coverage.

So beautiful.

We need to save this post for election 2020, when Trump wins California.
Also need to stock up on Kleenex for several posters.
Gonna start my shopping list!

Been reading what? GDP growth 2.3% 2017 less than 5 of Obama's 8 years. First quarter 2018 2.3%. There was 1 quarter of 3%+ growth so far under trump. Obama had 8. But hey don't let facts screw you up.
15   MisdemeanorRebel   2018 Jun 21, 6:02pm

... up from 1.5% in 2016.

Meanwhile, Trump has gotten the Democrats to admit:

1. They Want to ban ALL Guns
2. They want NO immigration controls.
16   Tenpoundbass   2018 Jun 21, 6:10pm

I don't think Trump has a philosophy. He can just read people and situations and each one is unique.
As a business man he never once employed any of the tactics he's used since his Escalator entrance into his Presidential career.
All of this is new to him. When he visits states that has respect for his capacity as the President of the United States. He treats them with utmost respect and he conducts business as he always did it as a business man. When he gets a wise ass like Merkle he reaches in his coat pocket grabs a pack of skittles and tosses them and says...
"Don't say I ain't never gave you nothing."
