I know, don't they usually say if you did nothing wrong, you don't have to worry about anything?

If this doesn't end up with some dismissals and prison time being dished out, I'd be surprised.

You can't plead the 5th until you testify.

bibby, bobby-why don't you tell it to him. He is declining to testify asserting his 5th amendment rights-it says clearly congress can still subpoena him.

This si what liberals are reduced to-arguing minituia-not bothering that the deputy director of the FBi is refusing to testify to congress asserting his 5th. Oh and the director of the FBI is under investigation by the IG for leaking classified information.Shame on the liberlas-but they have no shame.

Or
McCabe may be so dirty himself that immunity is his way of weaseling out. Of course, only a fool prosecutor would grant immunity without knowing what testimony McCabe would provide. If McCabe does have dirt on some deep state power folks, maybe it is time to start a dead pool.
11   Tenpoundbass   2018 Jun 18, 5:34pm

Only a guilty person pleads the fifth! They said about Trump early on.

So why did Michael Cohen take the fifth?

Talk to me when the Feds raid McCabe's house and toss his office, seize his electronic devices and reconstruct his shredded documents.

Aah liberlas. A lawyer taking the 5th ina civil suit brought on by a porn star is the same as the deputy director of the FBI taking the fifth when congress asks him tot estify-LOL!!!!!!!!111

Hebert Hoover:

"I did NOT wear those dresses."
"I did not give my adjutant those blow jobs or let him ass fuck me!"
"I did not accept mafia bribes disguised as track winnings, nor allow the mafia to pimp homosexual consorts for me. I do not believe in the mafia, it is a fiction, and I don't investigate fictions!"
"I did not, nor ever, keep secret files of illegal investigations of Members of Congress or the President as blackmail to use against them."
"I had nothing to do with the cover up of JFK's assassination!"

Hey, the FBI is honorable, why would any of them want to plead the Fifth? They's rather drink a fifth.
16   clambo   2018 Jun 19, 4:51am

The irony of a former law enforcement official pleading the Fifth and clamming up is pretty rich.

This all reminds me of a Twilight Zone where the USA has descended into a banana republic where the president uses government agencies to spy on the opposing political party.

I would not have believed this years ago; I can remember there were political differences before but not such abuse of the power of the government.

Recalling Watergate, Nixon didn't order anyone to break into the office, however he felt it would be too politically embarrassing for him so he tried to cover it up. He resigned when he was caught.

All of the FBI and DOJ finks, rats and spies should be fired and lose their rich pensions. Let them clean toilets or do other honest work.

There are no 5th amendment right fo refuse to testify. You can refuse to answer when you testify pleading your 5th amendment rights against self incrimination. I strongly suggest you never represent yourself in court.

When did this panel actually meet and have McCabe testify that he pleaded the 5th? I can't find any record of it anywhere . Only the washington times (aka subway toilet paper) article saying he was threatening to plead the 5th and a bunch or reprints of the WT article.

Looking like a pizza gate thing sucking in the gullible to create a lot of noise about something that never happened.

Uh...

Fired FBI Director James B. Comey refused to appear before Congress on Monday to talk about his handling of the Clinton email investigation, and his fired deputy, Andrew McCabe, asserted his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination, Sen. Charles E. Grassley said.

AND, the Hill:

According to Grassley, McCabe's lawyer cited his Fifth Amendment rights and Lynch declined to appear.

and the Hill, not to mention Grassly if he really said that, got it wrong. What a surprise. You cannot invoke the 5th to avoid testifying if subpeoned. If you aren't subpeoned you can just not testify. Sorry you aren't familier with the legal princples the country runs under.

You really, really shouldn't ever represent yourself in court. That minutia is called the law.

Why is that? He said he wouldn't appear and he didn't. He didn't plead anything, he wasn't there. It's really really simple stuff.
