She damn sure did. That's why it cost us over $12K in legal fees and fines to get her papers. We had to have three hearings on her previous unlawful entry into the US.
She was picked up in Texas in '87, her Sister drove there to bail her out and pick her up. They didn't stay in Texas for the deportation hearing.
We had to pay that $12K on top of the actual legalization process which was another $7 before she got her green card, temp residency then the resident card.

When you apply for driving license you agree to provide DL on request when driving. It's a part of the deal. Because driving is considered to be a privilege, not right. With ICE officer asking for your "papers" outside of POE you can simply ignore/decline the request. Youtube is full of videos of people doing just that at 100-mile checkpoints.

Since I know personally people where were here illegally, I will explain why so many illegals take the bus; they fear the new airport security by TSA which they believe will result in their being detained. They have no US ID to present the TSA screeners, just the ID from their home country. Mexicans typically have their voter ID card. Voter fraud by Mexicans is impossible in Mexico, it's easier for them here to commit voter fraud.
