Nantes on FIRE: Riots on the streets for FOURTH night as police clash with protestors

By MisterLefty following x   2018 Jul 8, 5:16am 524 views   27 comments   watch   sfw   quote     share

Angry youths torched dozens of cars as police responded with tear gas in clashes which broke out in the Le Breil neighbourhood of Nantes just after midnight and ended around dawn.

The protesters also set fire to a building, which was brought under control by firefighters, in another night of violence in Nante’s “ghetto district”.

It comes after the police officer who shot dead Aboubakar Fofana, 22, was charged with manslaughter on Friday.

Since news of the 22-year-old’s death spread on Tuesday evening, violent clashes between protesters and police have quickly ripped through the picturesque city in western France.

The officer has been released on bail and has been described as “devastated” and in a “state of shock” following the death.

Police reinforcements were deployed in Nantes on Thursday to safeguard the city, amid fears the riots will intensify.

Mr Fofana almost ran over two children and hit an officer as he reversed his car away from a police control point “at very high speed,” prompting another officer to open fire. He was hit in the neck and declared dead on arrival at hospital.

He was the subject of an arrest warrant issued in June last year for organised robbery, possession of stolen goods and criminal conspiracy.

I've driven through there on my way to Brittany from the Dordogne. Burning down the Briel area of Nantes would be a big improvement. Typical French stick the north africans there and let them rot slum.

An argument for merit based immigration? Folks with no education or job skills come to a Western country in an increasingly competitive world, and folks are surprised that they live in slums? How many are returning to Africa where things are better?

I'm all in favor of merit based immigration. Bring it on. France has such restrictive immigration since the “Pasqua law” of 1993 it doesn't need merit based since they don't let many people in. I doubt France will take many of the asylum seekers either. Almost all will be denied and will be booted out.

You seem confused who is living and rioting in these slums These people are the cheap labour brought over in the 50's and 60' and their subsequent generations. Getting out is almost impossible. No one will hire them and no one will rent to them. The french are far worse racists than southern rednecks ever were.

Young folks rioting. You are saying that educated black folks with job skills will not be employed in France?

Europe is not US and there is a fair amount of prejudice. I do not know about France, but in "progressive" Sweden, if you are not a Scandinavian, you will have very hard time getting a good job. They say one thing, do the opposite, while giving generous welfare to "refugees" to quench their guilt. Result is the worst possible outcome.

Which is far better than the slum they came from in Algiers and Marrakech, making it look like Versailles in comparison.

To view the French State as a host to be leached from. Barbary Pirates need to go back to Barbary where their Barbarous behavior is normal.

Many other groups of French, including Vietnamese, Guyanans, and many Caribbean French have no problem integrating. Only one broad group has a problem.

Colonialism must be repelled, indeed, Europe must go on the offensive and retake Constantinople.

Exactly, and that same group (Muslims) produces the same problem everywhere, due to the inherent hostility of Islam against non-Muslims. Most countries that have allowed themselves to become more than 20% Muslim have ended up more than 90% Muslim, for the same reason. And, 95% of countries with more than 20% Muslim population are unable to be "free" by western standards (per Freedom House, founded by Eleanor Roosevelt). Islam is incompatible with western liberty. Identitarian "liberals" talk of multiculturalism, but Islam crushes that; all you need to do is look at Muslim countries to see for yourself that Islam attacks and eventually destroys all other cultures until they are gone.

@bob2356, I have been meaning to ask you a question. You have mentioned that KSA is a principal funder of terrorism worldwide. When Donald Trump began speaking candidly about Islam ("Islam hates us") and campaigning against Islamic migration, Hillary Clinton (backed by KSA) warned that his words would provoke terror attacks. In fact, since he has taken office, Islamic attacks against the west have become significantly fewer and less lethal. How do you explain that?

I have an explanation, though you might not agree.

As the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said much the same of her Saudi clients, in her Wikileaked emails; nevertheless, she continued to campaign on their agenda (Hillary's War in Libya, expanding into Syria, driving Sunnis into Europe, with KSA as the only beneficiaries). Her closest advisor, Huma Abedin, is a Muslim who grew up in KSA. Her campaign manager, John Podesta, co-hosted a fundraiser with his brother Tony, who is a registered foreign agent of KSA. Tony's job is to help manage KSA's public relations, including KSA's MSM manipulation budget. At the start of the 2016 Presidential campaign, it looked like KSA had the election in the bag: either Clinton would win, or Jeb! Bush, so the Bush/Clinton/KSA axis could regain power following the Obama interruption. (President Obama and Valerie Jarrett were more skeptical of KSA, and more tolerant of Iran.) As long as KSA believed that the west remained hypnotized, the attacks could continue.

Once Donald Trump got elected, the game changed. Suddenly, MBS detained Saudi financiers and began a western charm offensive, and women are now driving cars in KSA.

I think KSA saw western voters woke up to the Islamic threat. Consequently, KSA decided to pivot: fewer bombs, more charms. Of course, the madrassahs and most of the mosques continue, but the Ground Zero Mosque is gone. You can call the Ritz detentions for "corruption" a shakedown if you want, but part of the point may have been to emphasize that even (especially) the richest Saudis would not be allowed to spend their money on the same old things (including terrorism) without MBS approval. I think that's why we've seen fewer Islamic attacks on the west, and why they've tended to be less lethal (a lone Muslim with little or no financial support from anywhere).

The worst Irish and Jewish slums in the big cities of the east coast dispersed in the amount of time that the North Africans have remained stuck in slums in France.

If a community is dedicated to improving themselves and cooperating with the mainstream, they will rapidly rise regardless of whether they are a religious minority.

Except for one specific religion.

Also, other ethnoreligious neighborhoods / ghettoes improve even if they don't disperse. They become tourist attractions. Everyone is welcome in Chinatown and Le Marais. Enjoy the food, the music; shop for whatever you like for whatever reason. You can buy a traditional Chinese outfit if you like, and the Chinese will not accuse you of "cultural appropriation" (though virtue signalers elsewhere might).

Far Less time. The Irish went from shit laborers to running the City Government and the Construction Industry in one or two generations. The Jews went from piece work on clothing to education and trade in one or two generations.

American Culture is saw awesome it took the whingey MOPE Underdog-right-or-wrong out of Irish immigrants which back home in Ireland, most Taigs still adhere to. Though has yet to do so for many Ashkenazim (only actually living in an surrounded by terrorists makes Ashkenazi wake up, apparently)

There was a Youtube on this, both Chinese and Japanese people, including the youth, think it's awesome to see Westerners into Cantopop, Anime, learning Mandarin or Japanese, or doing Asian style SCA in traditional dress.

Why don't you guys remind me how well blacks in the south rapidly rose for the first 100 years after the civil war by cooperating with the mainstream . Oh wait that's different.

2017 terror attacks against the west were the highest in 16 years. How is that significantly fewer and less fatal? https://ft.trib.al/IdNLvnk

West suffers more deaths from militant action in 2017 than any year since 2001 European countries and other developed nations suffered more deaths from terrorism in the past year than at any time since 2001 and the September 11 attacks

Huh? Am I missing something here or are we just having a TDS (trump delusion syndrome) moment? So far 2018 is on track for similar numbers I guess MBS didn't distribute the pivot memo to the rich saudis yet. Working on it as we speak I'm sure.

How about less snark and more examples? Where did your attacks occur? I remember the Bataclan + stadium attack killed 137 in 2015, then in Nice a truck attack killed 86 in 2016, and those are only two examples from France. Your article is concealed behind a paywall, and I don't buy your conclusion without seeing the proof.

Update: I found your article and it seems mostly to conflate 2014-17. “Excluding the September 11 attacks, 2016 was the deadliest year for terrorism in OECD countries since 1988." It cites incidents mainly from 2016, including the truck attack in Nice that I had listed, and a Brussels subway attack. It cites the GTD, which shows a downward trend in 2017, and which is linked on PatNet. So, the data show a downtrend, and yet somehow the text claims the opposite, maybe trying to include "western" targets in Africa or something. I was writing about western countries where voters had begun to turn against Sunni migration and terror, both funded by KSA.
