It looks like that by the end of the year I will need new tires on my car. Because I have a Costco membership as well as a Visa card, I am thinking about getting the tires at Costco. I have seem a number of negative reviews however, regarding service at Costco Tires.

Got them there before. No complaints. Good tires and reasonable price.

You can save money getting Chinese made tires at local resellers too, but that’s hit or miss.

Me and a few of my friends have used America's Tire for a good decade or so. They provide outstanding service - my friends all agree. Prices are reasonable, and they price match without any fuss.

Many times in the past I would buy tires from Tire Rack and bring them in to them for install (back when this strategy saved me sales tax). But, often they can get the same tire and will just price match it and make it 1 stop shop for me. Nowadays, their online prices tend to be similar to Tire Rack's.

My Daughter took my car to Firestone and got two new front tires for 80 bucks each. Had to replace two bald tires I keep putting off.
It was done in less than an hour.

Nothing beats Costco. Cost service honesty quality. Free tire rotation for life.

This.

If you need any baby sitting at all, America's tires is a little more expensive than Costco, but if you make an appointment, you wont be there more than an hour. And its easy to bring the car back in if theres an issue. Costco can be a bit of a hassle, but you may save a few dollars.

I use America Tire around the holidays when they offer the best deals. I find them to be cheaper than Costco.

The best of both worlds: shop tire rack.com for the best deals and then have Costco install them and get free lifetime rotation and balance.

I like America's Tire. It was called Discount Tire in Texas but someone already had that name in most of California except for San Diego.

America's/Discount Tire will price match any online competitor.

Costco- if you're already a member, their prices are hard to beat and their selection of big names like Michelin is excellent.

Other than that I'd try to find a locally owned tire place that's been in business for decades. That's who I buy from as an auto repair dealer who doesn't do tires. My customers who aren't Costco members are steered there.

Just bought four new tires at America’s Tires. Good experience throughout, good service, did a great job, replaced my air pressure sensors at no extra charge for labor, and balanced everything perfectly. I went for higher end tires (Yokohama) so the price wasn’t cheap, but the sales guy let me compare lifespans of various tires. The cheapest ones were getting 25-30k and these were getting twice that. They had both manufacturer’s distance rating and customer reported mileage, which was always lower. The Yokohama’s had the closest match between those two. Anyway, I like Costco too, but that place is BUSY and I haven’t got all day to wait. I work and am NOT a retired old guy who can putter about for ages while I get helped. Service at Costco is just appalling mostly.
