This is what I think is called a "meme", but I see it a lot today. It's a way of getting around to saying anyone who is conservative is deluded and those on the left are the arbiters of truth. You can see it in the comments with the very first one from an atheist with his hackneyed use of "thingymajig" in reference to God. Other dismissive terms are "tooth fairy" or "Santa in the sky". So, yes, we see this principle on the left every day.

This is from the middle of his long commentary and pretty much tells you all you need to know about his idea of "truth":

"The most powerful anti-facts I have ever seen is The State of Israel, and what I also see is the gullibility of USA to endorse it."
