Wait, wasn't David Frum the evil speechwriting Warmonger for George W who gave us "All these illegal Wars! Code Pink!"

Now you believe him on yet another sabre-rattling escapade?

All this is true, been true and obvious for a while.

What was important to note was the lengths that Manafort went to to make sure that Trump would not be at these meetings or looped into these discussions directly.

Manafort knew exactly the risks he was taking with a future administration and its principals.

Unfortunately, given his cash position at the time he was compelled to take these risks to advance the campaign he was supposed to be serving and keep his own game alive.

Which makes me suspect that Manafort's real customer wasn't Trump or his campaign.

Manafort might have been desperate enough at this time to cut a deal with Putin's crowd and promise he'd make the link for them and deliver them a real deal Siberian Candidate. No crime retreading your efforts to get paid twice for the same work.

He'd already been at work in the Ukraine working for Russian interests for some time.
