Thank you Union Pacific from preventing the fucking Moonbeam from spending even MOAR of our tax money on this stupid monstrosity.

Oh they’re still spending it. They’re just spending it to keep crews on standby who aren’t doing anything. Standby means they are reserved for when needed, if that day ever comes when the last lawsuit is settled and construction can proceed. In the meantime it’s leaking billions from public coffers into the pockets of the rich and the politicians who support them.
