The RED Wave Continues, Trump Backed Republicans Win Tonight.

While the fight was a close as expected - given the massive amounts of cash both parties spent - the winner of Ohio's special House election is Trump-backed Republican Troy Balderson.

Additionally, Trump-backed Iraq war veteran John James has won Michigan's GOP Primary to take on Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow this fall.

Of course - two things are now about to happen:

1) a recount will be demanded... and

2) Russian interference will somehow be blamed.

and, as a additional teaching point, this is why the Electoral College exists in this country:

Socialist star Ocasio-Cortez strikes out: All endorsed candidates lose Tuesday primaries.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s record on Tuesday night for her chosen primary candidates was as bare as a Venezuelan supermarket shelf.

Cortez held a whirl-wind tour of the U.S., stumping for Abdul El-Sayed for governor of Michigan, Fayrouz Saad in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District, Cori Bush in Missouri’s 1st District, and is backing Congressional candidate Kaniela Ing in Hawaii.

El-Sayed lost his bid for the Democrat nomination for governor to 50.1 percent to 34.6 percent, according to numbers published by the New York Times.

Saad came in fourth in the five-way race, capturing only 20.1 percent of the vote.

Cori Bush lost her primary to William Lacy Clay, 62.3 percent to 30.2 percent, the Times results show.

When I decided to go to Ohio for Troy Balderson, he was down in early voting 64 to 36. That was not good. After my speech on Saturday night, there was a big turn for the better. Now Troy wins a great victory during a very tough time of the year for voting. He will win BIG in Nov.

Truly this was a win for Trump. All his candidates won, and his support showed with the critical race in Ohio bringing the right candidate across the finish line despite heavy Democrat party interference and unanimous media predictions of a Dem win.

I can feel the temperature drop, and the ghost of JoeyJoeJoe and Errc saying "Losing by a little is HUGE!".

When of course, the National Dem Orgs and the Candidate with out-of-state big donors, outspent Balderson, Just like the Georgia Election, which also featured a crowded Republican field with unknowns. And, being a special election, no incumbent, so comparison with incumbent percentages from Tiberi's repeat victories are flawed. Incumbency is worth a several percentage points by itself.

Now it's back to blaming the Green Party, even though they got half of one percent which is pretty typical, and the votes for the Green wouldn't have put O'Connor over the top.

You’re confusing errc with someone who is a democrat. I couldn’t give a shit less Rep or Dem, i just support candidates who support America and the single most important issue for Americans. I didn’t follow this race at all because i dont think either candidate ever mentioned cannabis. Pretty sure Ohio has their medical status in order and don’t think adult rec use freedom is on the ballot there this fall. So fuck both of those failed losers

I am impressed at the division in this country where both candidates received about 100k votes each.

The only race that matters this Fall is Sessions vs. Allred. Any Real American should be rooting like hell to drain the swamp with Sessions, but i fear the mindless partisans don’t actually care about America so they might be pulling for Sessions purely because he is the Republican. Which is pathetic and would prove again that those voters are all bullshit and stand for nothing

I’m sensing a little of that here because nobody will comment on the thread. Pretty odd for people who claim to want to drain the Swamp, right?

For Real Americans who love our country and understand the Constitution and what America is all about, Pete Sessions is possibly more unAmerican than Osama Bin Laden. He has to go, and i'd vote for Hillary fucking Clinton if it meant he lost his seat in congress. He is the Swamp, by any definition of the Swamp

Boycotting all Republican businesses would leave them bankrupt,! Tell them,"There are consequences to you voting against Democrats best interest."

What can happen in a couple of months that Reps & Dems can't control?

They’re blaming Russia for their loss and saying the Green Party are agents of the Russkies!

Leftists are having a total meltdown after losing once again in Ohio’s special election on Tuesday!

They’re blaming Russia for their loss and saying the Green Party are agents of the Russkies!

So the Blue team rolled in 10% to 15% MORE voters into Franklin County and Delaware County and still couldn't win...

..."In both Franklin County, which includes Columbus, and Delaware County, the fast-growing suburb just north of Ohio’s capital, 42 percent of voters turned out. But in the five more lightly populated counties that round out the district, turnout ranged from 27 to 32 percent. "

The most significant harbinger from the Ohio race may not be the narrow margin, but the turnout gap between the most and least heavily populated parts of a district that absorbs the close-in suburbs of Columbus and rural stretches of central Ohio."

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/08/us/politics/election-results-ohio-kansas-michigan.html

If the repubs decide to turnout and show up in November, it will be a massacre.

Another notch for Trump!

Kansas governor concedes defeat to Trump-backed Kobach.

Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer conceded defeat to Trump-backed Secretary of State Kris Kobach in their Republican gubernatorial primary Tuesday, after a week of vote-counting in the close race.

“This election is probably the closest in America,” Colyer said in brief remarks Tuesday evening. “But the numbers are just not there, unless we were to go to extraordinary measures. But Kansas is too important.”
