Sanders missed the boat on Ocasio-Cortez, then watched his endorsed candidates fall on Tuesday — a sign that his sway is limited heading into 2020.

Bernie Sanders is sputtering.

Two years after his defeat in the 2016 presidential primary, the Vermont senator has amassed a growing string of losses in races in which he has intervened. Beginning last year, Sanders-backed candidates faltered in an Omaha mayoral race and a nationally watched House race in Montana.

Then came Rep. Tom Perriello’s loss in Virginia’s gubernatorial primary, and in June, the drubbing in Iowa of Pete D’Alessandro, a top adviser to Sanders during his 2016 Iowa caucus campaign. Cathy Glasson, endorsed by Sanders’ successor group, Our Revolution, fell short in Iowa’s gubernatorial primary, as did Peter Jacob and Jim Keady in two New Jersey House races. Dennis Kucinich lost in Ohio.

Tuesday night brought Sanders and his army their latest blow, with a pair of high-profile losses in Michigan and Kansas.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Under Medicare For All, You Won't Have To Worry About Funeral Expenses.

Democratic socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez asked why Republicans are okay with "unlimited war" but not Medicare for all, something she said is affordable, in an interview Wednesday night with CNN's Chris Cuomo.

Ocasio-Cortez, addressing the "sticker shock" of Medicare for all, said we don't incorporate "the cost of funeral expenses of those who die because they can't afford access to health care" in the current system.

"That is part of the cost of our system," she also said in her case for government-sponsored health care.

Bernie captured the anger folks had at Wall Street. Trump flirted with it. Hilary fellated the banksters.

The Dems have tragically divided their base with incompatible policies: for wage killing illegals but pro-union. Lip service about folks losing their homes, but pro-banksters. Ostensibly pro working class, but for NAFTA and job exporting policies.

And so the vacuum remains to be filled.

CURSE OF CORTEZ? ANOTHER candidate endorsed by socialist darling loses badly

Is an endorsement smooch from the socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez actually a kiss of electoral death?

For Hawaii congressional candidate Kaniela Ing, the answer was yes, as he became the fourth high-profile endorsee of Cortez to go down in flames in a primary this week, based on returns.

The Hawaii Civil Beat reported in July:

… Ing, who bills himself as a democratic socialist, has seemingly found little traction among local voters in the race to fill the open seat for Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District.

Ing lagged far behind the leaders among likely Democratic voters in the poll.

Another publication indicated Ing came in fourth in a recent poll.

It turns out Cortez’s support did nothing for his chances, and in fact, it may have hurt them.

Returns published by the New York Times show Cortez’s preferred candidate, Kaniela Ing, came in a distant FIFTH in a field of seven candidates.

Ing captured a measly 6.1 percent of the vote, compared to the winner, Ed Case, who won 40.4 percent.
