The goal is to wake Americans up and to get them to realize what has happened to us.

We should be deeply humbled and embarrassed as a nation. We were once the best in the world and the envy of the entire globe, but now the whole world is laughing at us.

#4 The average American drinks more than 600 sodas a year – the most in the world.

That's crazy! I guess it's only 1 and 2/3rds a soda. Still if I drink 10 a year someone is drinking 1190.

Sodas are fucking poison.

You can tell by how many of ya are afflicted with diabetes. It’s a truly epic number. If we suddenly lost the ability to manufacture insulin, CME or comet or some other civilization wide disruption, tens of millions would die off within a few months.

Several of these are caused by the government encouraging and financially rewarding bad behavior.

1. Single parent households: this is made possible by a govt. which subsidizes it. Food stamps, health care, WIC, HUD, etc.
2. Teen pregnancy: see #1
3. Trade deficit; Govt. encouraged this by tax and other incentives, including treaties e.g. NAFTA. NAFTA encouraged our offshoring of industrial production to send to the USA.
4. Huge Military: generally most people I know don't think about this issue but I also have never heard "Gee, I wish we had another aircraft carrier and 100 bat planes!"
5. Huge government waste: this is the result of having too many govt. programs and too many ways to get something for free
6. complex tax system; this is created by politicians and encouraged with those who sell products to mitigate taxes, e.g. Buffet sells life insurance and so liked the inheritance tax.

Yeah this "the world is laughing at us" is a gross leftist meme.

EU/China are currently kissing our ass trying to get Trump to offer better trade deals.

Most of that list is either a result of having the most powerful economy or the result of a failed nanny states effect on the black community.

2. Just one company, Apple, worth more than half the countries in the world.

There could be a few factors skewing some of this data. One being population, and the other Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. People that have more free time, and have no problem meeting their basic needs are in the position of having the luxury to treat mental issues.

The list is stupid. The only way to compare is by rate, not total numbers. The US is many times bigger than most of the rest of the developed word. If you go per capita for car thefts the US drops to #11 with Switzerland number #1. Idiotic. Are people really that math challenged and/or willfully ignorant.

This is like "Europe has little gun crime." That's because Euros have almost no guns! Considering the immense private ownership of firearms, we have little crime. Esp. once you adjust for the median neighborhood/household, and double especially if you cut out the poorest 20 urban neighborhoods.

America is awash with guns, with a gun ownership rate many times higher than Europe, but the murder rate is only just over double. And less if you X out urban gangsters.

Almost no guns where? Most of western Europe is in the 20-35 guns per 100 vs the US at 80. Having 20 million guns in France is almost no guns? How do you define almost no?

People get manipulated by fear of financial insecurity.

Manipulated into going along with anything the powerful desire whereas if there is resistance, agendas don't progress smoothly for the mighty and if the resistance is firm enough, they give up completely.

Are you ready to go along with a new constitution of the US written by ALEC with the movement funded by Koch brothers? Now that they got their budget crushing tax relief that is the next big item on their list. This is all to shut down all the government basically besides enforcement, surveillance and military.

Not Most of Western Europe. France and Germany.

Germany has 20 guns per 100.
France 19
But ...
Denmark 9
Spain has 7.5
Ireland 7.2
UK 3.8 (best estimate) - and I will tell you the 1.4 murder rate is complete and utter bullshit. Also, in terms of violent crime, the UK is worse than South Africa.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1196941/The-violent-country-Europe-Britain-worse-South-Africa-U-S.html

Same Chart has the US at 120.5
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_guns_per_capita_by_country

Germany does NOT issue Firearms licenses for Self-Defense, which is not considered a justification for owning them. You MAY have a concealed carry, but you have to prove you're a target of a kidnapping, carry mandatory insurance, basically it's restricted to rich VIPs. Otherwise Sport Shooting, Hunting, or Collecting only. The most popular license
requires a year's membership in a sports club, and you need a 14 day waiting period, and specific permission for every single damn gun you own AND the Shooting club must authorize which kind of weapon you're allowed to buy. IE that you've been competing in .38 caliber at 10 meters and therefore limiting you to a .38

To top it all off, you must keep your weapons and ammo totally separate, subject to inspection, and the law requires a minimum 10 seconds to access both firearm and ammo.

And what do you get? The same relative murder rate as the US, adjusted for Firearms prevalence.

USA 120 guns per 100 / 5.5 murder rate = 21 guns to murder
Germany 20 guns per 100 / 1 murder rate (likely double that) = 20. guns to murder.

bob2356 says

Is the US Murder Rate 4 or 5 times Europe's? Nope.

Also, Western Europe is a theft, beating, stabbing nexus, police are far less effective, thieves and assaulters far more bold. Compare pickpockets in Paris to that of New York. Not even close.

Germany's crime rate is almost double that of the USA. BTW, Germany has ~25% more Police than the USA.

http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Germany/United-States/Crime

I believe the Median Age of Germans is 51; for Americans it's 40. So we're younger and therefore more supposedly crime prone, as well

Shocking Crime rates, given those numbers.

How about France? 48% more crime than the United States.

http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/France/United-States/Crime

The reason you see unruly mobs in Britain, France, and Germany going after people is precisely because there is little fear of armed victims. Sure, they don't get killed, just beaten within an inch of their lives, robbed, and gang raped.

WTF? It's all an estimate. Numbers go from 80 to 120 for the US depending on how they guestimate the numbers. Most are 80 to 100. Small arms survey is always considerably higher than any of the others. This shit didn't come down from the mountain engraved on stone tablets. Especially since so many guns in the US are unregistered compared to any other first world country.

Nice job shuffling and jiving and throwing out random noise to try to cloud up the subject. Your chart says murder rate is .89 Germany and 5 US. That's 5 times by my math. Violent crime 30 to 88. So now we are comparing murder rate and crime rate? So pickpocketing and stealing shit from cars is the same as murder? How about I get pick pocketed and you get murdered and we will compare the experience.

Nice dodge, Bob.

The US has 5-6 times the guns...and 5-6 times the murder rate.

Also, Germany has twice the crime. Europeans put up with a lot more beatings, robberies, and pickpockets than Americans tolerate - and it's actually an outcome of the lack of arms.

I'd rather have a few more murders - the vast majority of which are among scum killing each other in the slums - than to death with the outrageous crime rate of Western Europe.
