A lot of it the fault of the owner. Can't believe someone who can own a home that expensive, even if it is in SF and property values are high, not having any more control over the situation such as regular cleanings as part of the rental agreement.

A million dollars insurance from Airbnb? Homeowner probably let some homeless squat to collect the insurance and get renovation costs.

He doesn't need insurance if he owns a $5.3MM place. He should not rent it out except for to close friends and family maybe. You don't put your Lamborghini on getaround.com either.
