Linux is the most widely used operating system in the world today. You're using it now to read this. Anything you use that is running a GUI uses it, with the possible exception of your phone and video game console.

These shitheads have no concept of how massive the system is. Linux development is not centrally controlled - if they are successful (very doubtful) it will just fracture development and really, we don't need more development. This system has been perfected for 40 years. There is literally NOTHING in Linux that I can think of that I wished it had. Can't say the same for Windows. I can write drivers in userspace on Linux now. I can link my machine to another machine to distribute tasks. I can take my filesystem and divide it across 5 computers on the other side of the ocean, in different continents.
