Gavin Newsom Made a Mess out of San Francisco: Do You Really Want him for Gorernor?

If you support Gavin Newsom for governor, consider the mess he left San Fransisco in before you do:

It is now legal for homeless people to take a dump on the street. An online map is needed to track human feces on city streets

Drug injection sites have resulted in dangerous hypodermic needles littering the streets.

San Francisco's leaning, sinking Millennium Tower, with windows cracking on every floor.

Property crime is running amok

Public urination is so widespread it has damaged subway elevators and escalators, building walls and power poles

The cost of housing and living is the highest in the Bay Area, and it has the most property crime in the nation, according to the FBI.

San Francisco’s brand has taken hits in the media, with headlines such as “Why San Francisco is the Worst Place Ever,” “34 percent of Bay Area Residents are Ready to Leave,” and “Complaints of Syringes and Feces Rise Dramatically in SF.”

Their ‘sanctuary’ policies have resulted in thousands of undocumented people living there.

Democratic rule since 1996, with the mayoral election of former state speaker Willie Brown, has resulted in increased government, taxation and building regulations while shying away from creating more affordable housing. Brown worked with developer lobbyists he knew from his legislator days to demolish single-room occupancy hotels and other low-income homes, making room for well-heeled dot com workers.

Brown made it legal for the homeless to sleep in public and block sidewalks.

Smash-and-grab thefts from locked cars are so common that car repair shops have waiting lists.

And there's this: “With a crime rate of 70 per one thousand residents, San Francisco has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes,” says the data collection site Neighborhood Scout. “One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 14. Within California, more than 98% of the communities have a lower crime rate than San Francisco.”

As if city policy wasn’t liberal enough, it is proposing to spend $5 million on lawyers to defend illegal immigrants against Trump's push to deport criminals

If you want Newsom to implement the same failed policies that made SF such a f**king mess, then don’t vote for Cox, but Cox is the kind of candidate that is dedicated to solving problems. He concentrates on the issues, and doesn’t get side-tracked by the Kavanaugh hearing like Gavin Newsom, who couldn’t even be bothered with campaigning for governor. What does that say about caring for the issues that concern you? Just vote for him and see what happens: he’s not making any promises. Whereas Cox has a plan to make California great again.

Why do you hate AMERICA and SUCCESS, manifested in screwing over anyone who makes less than $10 M?

Crime up
Poverty up
Homelessness up
Housing costs up
Middle class down
Healthcare costs up
Failing infrastructure up
Pension costs fucking soaring

All brought by tax and spend liberals, who fail to learn, and promote more "tax and spend" now with frequent distractions of "gays and women are discriminated and need special treatment".

I have little comprehension of the kind of mindset that could enable one to vote for this Joel Osteen of the Progressives. He’s so slimy, so corrupt, so absolutely ridiculous with his pandering crap that anyone sane would run away screaming.

Maybe if I were a one-issue voter like some on this board, and he represented my side.... nope still can’t imagine it!

I nearly voted for Villaraigosa instead of cox in the primaries just because i thought he could beat Newsome. He’s also horrid but not actually Satan.

Guess he wants to leave for Sacramento before the SF street shit hits the fan.

To be fair, every SF mayor pretty much for the past 30 years has been a waste of space. 1990, the year when the "Great Deterioration" of Cali and SF began.

You would think with the amount of shit in SF, you won't need to wait for the shit to hit the fan.

John Cox supports less regulation, this should solve housing by it self.

I believe Jerry Brown has been good for California. I like a lot of the things he's done. He's actually a very conservative guy in many ways. But I get it that you libertarians can't comprehend that running surpluses and paying your bills is ever prudent, if it involves using taxes to do so.

I don't have faith that Newsome could hold a candle to Brown though. But then it's also tough for me to vote for an unknown republican. But I might. It's unlikely that I will ever vote for a republican for President. Governor though, is totally doable.

Yeah, Moonbeam really has it going these days. I saw a youtube where he was answering a question why California was so hostile to business with regulation, taxation, and litigation as well as lengthy delays getting anything off the ground because of paper work.

His reply was, "Well, smart people can make it happen." That's like a rapist blaming the victim. He's either gone senile or crazy, and I wouldn't have been surprised if the whole audience moved to Texas.

Jerry Brown?

What's good about his administration? You like open boarders, sanctuary state, where illegal immigrants have the right to vote? Do you Democrats have any self respect at all? What do you have to say about that?

California Elections Official Does Not Know if Non-Citizens Have Voted

https://www.breitbart.com/california/2018/10/10/california-elections-official-does-not-know-if-non-citizens-have-voted/

When illegal immigrants come into our country and take jobs away from those of us who were born here, it is like cutting in line. As immigrants become more technically knowledgeable they will go after jobs in every sector of the middle-class work-force and bring down wages for everyone who is not in the top of 1% of income earners. Imagine someone willing to do your $100 thousand-plus-a-year job for half that. Your value has just been devalued by half.

If this is what you want for your future, just keep supporting open boarders, no ICE agents, no WALL, and Gavin Newsom. If you want what is good for California, consider Cox.

Gavin's campaign slogan should be "A shit on every sidewalk!".

You and I are on the same page. Schwarzenegger (whom I voted for) ran the state into the ground financially and was elected almost solely on repealing the four-fold increase on car registration cost. I've been a fan of Brown (whom I voted for), he dug us out of a hole, but went way too far with the gas tax, minimum wage, the high speed rail joke and requiring public companies to have women on the board. Newsom is just such a slimeball and I don't think I can get behind him. I remember him getting completely owned by Adam Carolla bringing up logic and facts.

Hmmm... not sure why Arnold S is always criticized. He just had to face the reality that the CA population is left of center. He tried to get around the legislature and courts by pushing three conservative initiatives to reign in the special interests, but all were defeated. After that, he essentially said "if that is what the people want, then I am good with it". He then governed far to the left of what he campaigned on, and frankly he was serving the will of the people as expressed through the ballet (which more than can be said for many leaders). Can't criticize him too much - he at least tried and did let the people make the decision.

Democrats are still apologizing to everyone around the world for US existence.

Illegals voting is part of the plan, they vote Democrat mostly. And there is enough fraud, you can't tell if you voted or who you voted for, that info isn't recorded. So plenty of room to make sure CA is always "blue".

To answer the question posed in the title, yes the idiot leftists in California, 90% of which are useful idiots, want Gavin Newsom as governor.
