So far, Very Crowded Field For Democrat 2020 Nomination

By MegaForce following x   2018 Oct 22, 9:42am 504 views   20 comments   watch   sfw   quote     share

So far by my count, the field for the Dem 2020 nomination is looking extremely crowded:

1) Pocahontas
2) Kamala Harris
3) Sparticus
4) Bernie
5) Shrillary
6) Uncle Creepy
7) The Porn Lawyer

And with the exception of the Porn Lawyer, none of these are weak hitters or strawmen, unlike the last time around.

I also predict it will be even more frenzied should the Blue Wave turn into Blue Piss-On-The Street as it seems it will.

P.S. Pocahontas should choose a running mate named 'John Smith'. :)

All of those are horrible. Is this the best the DNC can come up with? I may never vote Democrat again.

About this time in 2014 when Jeb and Mitt were the two top dogs. I said then "The guy that wins the primaries isn't even on the radar yet."
I was right then and I hope I'm right now. As that will be my hope for the Democrats in 2020.

They need a middle class growth and health advocate like Nader, and no nonsense reformist like Dennis Kucinich with the tenacity of Bernie Sanders with out the Socialism.
Kucinich embodies Democrat values from when the Democrats were for the working man/middle class, if the Democrat party was the Repubilcan party, Kucinich would be what you call a DINO. Any center leaning Democrat would be a DINO today.

Doesn't matter. Because whomever they choose will be totally beholden to the Batshit Crazy Base. Kavanaugh was just the warm up of how they will try to outdo each other in that department. Either way, the Dems are toast in remaining as a viable, mainstream political coalition.

Eventually...either the Dems reform into a new party as you say or some other third party will rise to take over and they go the way of the Whigs.

But for now, I am definitely going to enjoy watching them go straight to hell. These idiot contenders are just the ticket for accomplishing that.

My favorite potential pair is if Jill Stein (green candidate last time around) hooks up with Al Franken (run out of the senate by MeTo). Then we can have the Franken-Stein ticket.

That would also be an apt description of the US economy if those two ever took the reigns.

Funny thing, before Trump-Clinton in 2016, I actually did want to vote for a moderate Dem. I was hoping, looking. It never materialized.

There's actually a Wikipedia page to help you get the proper Trump-approved nicknames. No, I'm not kidding! Here it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nicknames_used_by_Donald_Trump

So, to correct the above, it's: Crooked Hillary.

For Joe Biden, I think it's still a toss up between:
• 1 Percent Biden
• Crazy Joe Biden
• Sleepy Joe

I'd still prefer Creepy Joe, though.

I'll comment further that "Crooked Hillary" is truly brilliant. It reminds everyone of Richard "I am not a Crook" Nixon, which, to a Democrat supporter, is an extreme put down.

Do not forget recent political history. Obama and Trump came out of nowhere to win party and President. Some now unknown Democrat will come out between now a 2020. Maybe some charismatic female war veteran, or a charming well spoken fatherly love type male.

I used to champion a third party but I don't any more.
They extra variable or even more parties extra variables, just allow the establishment to game and rig the system.
So they can get their guy in, while jamming up the more suited guy.
Just think of 2016 had the Primaries been actual parties running against Trump in the General Election.
Hillary or Bernie would have most definitely won.

Look at Germany, Sweden, France and other EU elections.
The Populist or Nationalist candidates can't win. Because they have to go head to head with heavy financed Strawmen Candidates in other parties that never have any plans of winning. They are just there to siphon numbers off the outsider. They will have all the numbers they need because all of the Socialist Union workers will vote for the Establishment pick. Which turns out to be more votes than the other 4 parties.

We should just drop parties and just have Right or Left ticket. You can run for either one.
There is a serious movement right now in this country. For the GOP and the DNC to start protecting their band like a corporation.
They will never allow a Donald Trump to ever run again. They want control of the party name, and decide who can run on their ticket or not.
As it is now you need either signatures, a Registration fee, or the party can Nominate you to run. They want the sole discretion to Nominate candidates from the top. They will decide who runs.

The biggest thing anyone can do, is get out and Join the Party. Any Party they are a mess and are responsible for this Country going to hell in a hand basket.
Just because you are a registered Democrat or Republican, you are not a Party Member. The party decides politics, the voters just picks over the scraps.
Go join your local County Party either one, they are in shambles and needs your help. It is where the Scumbagger starts.

Wonder if either Party's voters have ever been called stupid fucks?
If not,let me be the first.

And in 2016 it was Bernie for the Dems. But the elites who control the Dem party sidelined him. The ones in charge of the GOP failed at sidelining Trump.

Thing is, there are too many heavy hitters in the front row now. So yes, only one shall rise to the top. But the bloodbath will be awesome!

BTW, Booker was just accused of sexual assault by some gay guy. See what I mean? Care to guess that getting out was no accident? I don't think so. :)

In those nations, coalitions are not formed until AFTER the election. In our system, they have to be formed before in order to get elected. So one can't compare their parties (which are real political parties, unlike ours) to ours.

Third parties are thus reduced to spoilers, as you pointed out. But they also can replace a mainstream party if it collapses, like the GOP did with the Whigs.

I would LOVE Shrillary to mount an independent, spoiler campaign...oh wait! One more: Bloomberg! Add that to the list! Just thought of him. Hahahahahahah.

Yes, the GOP somehow let the people choose instead of just their own elites. Is the RNC less corrupt than the DNC? Seems to be that way.

I think this is the likely outcome.

Both elites are corrupt for sure, tho. No argument. Just less of a factor than competence in executing that corruption.

The GOP elites were just less competent in keeping a lid on it than Dems were. Also helped that they didn't take Trump serious at all until it was too late.

But, the DNC elites always have had to keep a lid on true liberals ever since 1968, so therefore set things up that way institutionally. Totally in the pocket of Hillary...with sham 'debates' at 2am on an Alaskan PBS channel nobody watches, Superdelegates, etc. They took Bernie seriously enough, too.

Heraclitusstudent, did you come up with that on your own? I can see a political cartoon that shows all the Democrat contenders dressed as clowns and all emerging from the same small car.

That's an image that comes to mind when you imagine 10 silly looking people squabbling about who's more sanctimonious.
