She was going to be leaving probably anyway; she was perceived as the enemy by everyone at NBC from the beginning. She had no chance unless she was screwing Andy Lack.

It's absurd anyway; they pay her millions of dollars per year to give her opinions and talk to people on the show, and if someone dislikes one of her opinions, she is fired.

The history of blackface in entertainment is complex and interesting. I recall my friend burning a cork and painting his cheeks black for Halloween if he had no other ideas for a costume; he said he was a "bum". It got some candy so that was enough.

She's fired precisely because she wouldn't do this for the Fake News Networks.

It's all kabuki theatre.
