It's funny because my wife loves and respects her even though her policies are opposite of what she believes, and she hates Trump even though she agrees with his policies. This is the problem with the Left and with many women...they vote with their hearts instead of their minds
2   rocketjoe79   2018 Nov 8, 7:07am

If she recovers, I'll wager her mind will be as sharp as ever. These people are exceptional. But, comes a time when retirement may be the right choice.

If the seat opens up, the Trump will have a big stick to wave at the Demos. This could be a real chance for some "compromise" or at least some civility between the parties. How about we actually get some work done, Congress, instead of drumming up useless investigations and nothingburgers?

Not trying to be mean or anything, but your wife is likely the type that can change their political whims on the fly. I've known girls who were psychotic libertarians that morphed into right wing fanatics and then left wing SJW based on the current guy they were dating.
4   Goran_K   2018 Nov 8, 7:23am

Ginsburg is only staying in the seat because Soros has commanded her to until 2020. She’s on deaths door step and can barely stay awake during the day.

Why is harm being wished to her
6   krc   2018 Nov 8, 8:45am

I don't wish harm to her and hope for the best even if I think she is wrong on so many levels. It does bring up, though, that perhaps there should be some process to retire judges that make it to a certain age. Not sure that is fair since some can have a very clear mind late in life and others do not. But this idea that you should serve until you die just isn't working.

Whoa. You misunderstand me (if you're pointing at me). I don't wish her harm, I just don't believe she's healthy enough for the position and should step down (sooner rather than later).
8   rdm   2018 Nov 8, 8:54am

Old Jewish women tend to live long lives, I wouldn't count her out. Her mind seems clear as her body is deteriorating, probably heading for a wheel chair. Life time means life time, personally I think they should be limited to 15-20 years, pick a number. It would take a constitutional amendment but it might not be that much of a climb.
9   Shaman   2018 Nov 8, 8:54am

She won’t last another six years that is certain. She must know this. What she might do is try to hold on until 2021 in hopes of an establishment Democrat being elected POTUS, or at least that WAS her plan. The rout in the Senate probably gave her and her handlers pause, considering that it might not be much of a possibility that Trump will fail to be re-elected. The Senate was the clearest referendum on both Trump and the direction of the nation. People want sober Republican leadership, not crazy Democrat antics. All the House races lost can be attributed to gerrymandering and local politics as well as a huge influx of Democrat money into contested races.

Trump certainly feels prett confident after the results of Tuesday’s massacre!

Hmm. I thought you were predicting a gain in the House for the republicans? Is my memory wrong? And Trump is scared shitless IMO

Just a reminder, SCOTUS appointments have nothing to do with the House.

The Senate is behind Trump, and the two big Never Trumpers are dead or resigned.

I was. Strongly!
It didn’t work out. Guess my crystal ball is a bit foggy. All that Red in the Senate pinked over to occlude the House race.

If you look at it that way, the gain was +6 Senate seats for MAGA. Two GOPe gone and replaced with MAGA, one Arizona seat McStain vacated and is now solidly MAGA (once the Dem concedes), two pickups in Missouri and N Dakota, and one more in Florida.
That’s a nice cushion. No wonder Trump is feeling froggy!

20   Ceffer   2018 Nov 8, 9:49am

She won't quit until she's achieved a lifetime best of 3000 metric long tons of circuitous, ambiguous, mumbling legal ramblings at hundreds if not thousands of dollars per page leading up to arbitrary SCOTUS legislations.

The last great justice was Earl Warren, who conspicuously sold his soul under color of authority and integrity to the FBI and CIA by by helping to forge the Warren Commission results to bend to their will. He showed how a double jointed legal whore could really operate.

That woman will live forever.

Didn't she survive both colon and pancreatic cancer and also have heart surgery recently?

Broken ribs are a bitch though and really hurt, probably requiring some major pain medication.
23   Booger   2018 Nov 8, 10:46am

Where is that animated gif of Ginsburg dying when you need it?
24   krc   2018 Nov 8, 10:50am

The comment about blue-state folks moving to texas and corrupting the value is too true! I have a good liberal friend who is moving out of state(CA) because he doesn't like the taxes and is retiring - and yet he voted yes on all tax increases, etc... His view is that someone "else" should be paying - he can flee when he wants - for a low tax state, and then once there start voting for "high taxes". :)
26   Tenpoundbass   2018 Nov 8, 11:00am

Could you imagine if she dies this week?

In the same week Trump gets a bullet proof Senate.

How cool would that be? I mean it would suck for HER! And the Libs offering her a rib and liver.
But it would be really cool for us Patriots that were insulted by the first LBGT SCOTUS.

That’s because they make it hurt to breathe normally, causing the person to breathe shallowly. This leads quickly to pneumonia due to various factors. And old immune systems aren’t great at fighting off disease. Additionally, old livers and kidneys aren’t great at eliminating toxins the bacteria produce, so the body slips into sepsis and then organ failure. When the heart shuts down it can’t be restarted and the patient dies.
All from broken ribs!

What a dumbass! Senate contests are decided on a state-wide vote, not one that can be carefully apportioned into drawn districts where gerrymandering can happen! With Senators, every vote counts. She’s just plain ignorant, as are her fans.

I think Ocascio the Neiman Marcus Socialist made a stupid comment about her stopping appointments when she's in the House, too.

Edit: Here's another retarded remark, this one from Manchin (Trump told WV he'd caucus with the Dems on most everything important!)
Firing Sessions is a Constitutional Crisis, for some reason, as if the President doesn't have the power to fire from his own Cabinet..

We get a new on in January.

Ginsburg-ageddon

REPORT: Retirement in January?

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had a re-occurrence of malignant melanoma, she has told her law clerks. Ginsburg was treated in 1999 for colon cancer and had surgery in 2009 for pancreatic cancer.
34   MisdemeanorRebel   2018 Nov 8, 12:07pm

It's time, Ginsberg has to go.

To cling on so with all these health problems is ridiculous at this point. She's 85.
35   Goran_K   2018 Nov 8, 12:10pm

Man, this is going to get crazy if Ginsburg steps down or retires.

Kavanaugh is going to look like Sunday school.
36   Ceffer   2018 Nov 8, 12:10pm

Hope she doesn't have an organ doner permission card. She could wind up whacking a few donees yet. They'd wake up from anesthesia demanding $2000.00 an hour, then die screaming of cancer.

Of course I remember. Mccain and Flake were the douchiest never Trumpers alive (RIP John).

But now with a solid senate majority, I wonder what Democrats will pull when Ginsburg leaves the bench (by her will or not). I would bet on there being multiple false flag type events happening in a short span.
