This is what happens when you allow a monopoly to take over the maintenance of roads.

Yeah, and congestion alone costs $5k a year in wasted time.

In related news, I just got my once-a-decade license renewal. Requires eye test (and probably all the new ID stuff too). Need to waste many hours waiting on line at the DMV.

Yet yu pay very high gas taxes and voters voted to keep it-meanwhile CA voters are ok with building a 100 billion train to nowhere that will probably cost more to fly from lA to SF on a plane!

CA voters also seem to want to raise property taxes. Just like IL voters who voted in a dem supermajority where dems ran on a platform of raising taxes. LOLZ1!!

I think you are 100% correct.

If you had said "high speed train to nowhere" you would have been only be 50% correct. If the project ever even gets 2 stations total, it'll be a conventional-speed train to nowhere. And, that conventional-speed train will cost more than flying!

Doesn’t matter. 5th largest economy in the world. That solves everything right?

3. Dedicated bicycle bridge over 101 near Belmont literally 30 feet from existing overpass were a dedicated lane could have been carved out for a fraction of the $6M bridge cost.
