I'll be in downtown San Diego at the federal building at noon. Not sure if anyone else will show.

WTF? We had a chance to vote on our portion of BS gas taxes. We failed to repeal, but what's there to protest now? The stupidity of average CA voter?

This isn't about one tax. It's about a debt system designed to rob us of our lives and freedom.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

If you have a centrist government, everyone can be anti-government for different reasons, and so agree to riot.
Lucky we all know the problem is just the opposite party.

Protests already going on in Canada. Since when do Canadians protest before Americans?

And what, pray tell, the Canucks are protesting against? It's all starting to look like a big fucking joke.

Whatever. Just don't riot on my street. I'm not Korean, but I do like kimchi.

There's nothing funny about debt slavery. Don't see anyone laughing in France.

Do you live by a federal building or federal reserve branch?

God, no!

Haha, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Plenty of people laughing in France despite "debt slavery". The "debt-free" Venezuelans on the other hand....

Once you drop to Venezuela, you're already fucked. That country's gonna be strip mined of everything valuable.

Have you heard of the curse of oil? Apparently, if you’re a third world dictator, having oil production handy means you can essentially ignore the people and do whatever you like, since outside companies will contract with your government to extract oil and pay you enough royalties that you’ll not even need tax money from the peasants. You can live in luxury as supreme dictator for life, abusing the peasants at will, while hiding safely behind your army which is also paid for by the oil money.
The curse of oil is really a curse for the people of the nation which has the oil. The government does just fine!

Don't like debt-free Venezuela lifestyle, how about debt-free Zimbabwe? Looks like debt "slavery" a-la US is way better than "nobody would lend me a red cent" kind of freedom. ;)

That's California for you. Highest taxes in the nation, and they still want more more more.

Shouldn't you be protesting against California? Trump reduced our taxes, it's the blood sucking leeches in Sacramento who are the real trouble makers.

The federal reserve holds all the keys. They control the feds, and as the reserve bank is in San Franshitsco, any federal building will make a good target.

But yes, the state has their day of reckoning in all of this too.

Venezuela and Zimbambwe both have central banks. Without a central bank there's no debt notes(dollars here), and no chance at national hyperinflation. Iceland is the closest any nation has gotten to debt free that I know of, and that's because they tried saying fuck the banks we won't pay.

Trump reduced our taxes

Here in Virginia, a blue state, the Democratic Governor said Virginia has a unexpected surplus of tax revenue due in part to expanded business growth aided by the Trump tax cuts. The other unexpected source is was more Lottery revenue. He is going to spend this "windfall" on a 5% teacher pay raise and some clean the Chesapeake Bay initiatives. I suspect some of those extra Lottery tickets were bought by workers who had extra bucks because of lower withholding. Also, some were worried that the very rich who can no longer cannot deduct full State Income Tax would conjure up some tax avoidance schemes.

I heard on the radio California has a budget surplus of $15 billion. Sacramento should use it to pay down the debt, but I'm sure they have better plans for it.
Give themselves a raise.
Add to their pensions.
A big bonus for a job well done.
More to hard working Welfare Queens.
Free healthcare to illegal aliens.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Iceland has a central bank and external debt of $72K per capita, which, incidentally, is more than US has ($58K per capita). It's also more in %% of GDP: 118 vs US's 94.

A poster child of being "debt-free" Iceland is not.

I believe Kuwait, SA, and some others out there have no debt.

No offense taken. I'm actually proud of it.
