How does this work?

The wall requires like $2 billion to start. $2 billion wont happen. What then?

Also in a 1 in a million chance it does happen, who do you think gets the money? Nancy Pelosi? Trump himself?

So is this just a fancy message?

His plan is explained pretty clearly on his fund page. I trust a triple amputee combat veteran to follow through his plan.

I'm not sure it'll cost $2B or $1B or even $500M to start. I think if it's donated, the President can spend it without any problems.

From what I understand, the Wall was authorized decades ago, just never funded.

Does someone know the answer to this?

Maintenance is the real cost on something like this. Sell magazine subscriptions?
8   MrMagic   2018 Dec 20, 10:03pm

Now up to $10.6 million.

More importantly: 175,181 people have donated.

What if those 175K people marched on DC to take their country back. Would that have any effect?

It's a good question. Best answer I found:
https://politics.stackexchange.com/questions/6281/can-private-entities-directly-fund-federal-organizations

I do know that the Wall was authorized 20+ years ago in the Clinton Era, it's just never had money appropriated to it to do more than build a few barriers.

Someone should start a go fund me for undercover guys to rat out guys working illegally to ICE.

Also, rat out those who are overstaying their tourist visas; they didn't crawl across the desert but they're also here illegally. I know several of these people.

Anyone who calls this mean is a hypocrite; do you lock your door at night? do you have a password lock on your phone? Do you have a password for your ATM card?

Illegal workers drive wages down for Americans, and cost us tax money that we should keep to ourselves.

rocketmanjoe, I somehow forgot the best way is to punish those who employ the illegal workers.

Enforce E-Verify; notify businesses that they have 3 months to comply and there will be an inspection and fines for having employed people not legally entitled to work here.

I'd prefer to err towards the side of freedom and illegal alien employees, rather than allow our govt this level of control over our economic activity.

Seriously? Does that means you are against minimum wage laws, workplace safety laws, overtime rules, payroll taxes, Social Security, and other government meddling between employer and employee? Because undercutting all this is what employing illegals is all about.

Yes. We'd be better off w/o any of that

Perhaps we would be better off without such rules, but until we adopt that Libertarian laissez faire approach, we need to keep things fair for the workers/employers bound by he rules and keep illegals out of the workforce.
