Most Women only take those courses so they can shop at professional Salon supply stores to use on themselves.
My wife graduated CS she wasn't in debt though. She paid as she went. She has never worked in a Salon. She has all of skills to use on herself and friends and family.
Even if She wanted to work, there's not much money to be had unless you own a busy Salon. Even then, you would do like everyone else and hire a bunch of Cheap Vietnamese workers to do everything. So those skills aren't even needed for the ones that actually make money at it.
