My great hope for freedom from leftist bigotry and intolerance is that the left will implode when they have accused and alienated so many of their own that they fragment into a thousand tiny warring factions. This is a good example of the process, and it's good news for the rest of us.

The leftists have been going after many completely innocent people, like James Damore and Lawrence Summers, but those were white men, the object of the fiercest racism and sexism by the left. Now that the left is going after gays (this guy, and Peter Thiel), and women (black women accusing white women), and wrong-thinking blacks (who have the gall to point out that Trump's crackdown on illegals mean higher wages for poor black citizens), you know their end is near.

One reason for the end of the reign of terror in France was the execution of Carmelite nuns who clung to their religion in peace and preferred execution to official atheism.

The Reign of Terror began on September 5, 1793 and ended on July 28, 1794, lasting around 10 months. Its aim was to purge those who posed a threat to France; especially those who were suspected of being against the French Revolution. At the same time, power struggles between committee leaders and Robespierre led to Robespierre's execution and an end to the Reign of Terror.
