This is probably one of those things where if you eat one with enough toppings, it's OK, but you wouldn't eat a second one.

Because the cellulose would propel you out of the restaurant at escape velocity when you farted.

No way, it's Tasty Burger for me!

5   Rin   2019 Jan 8, 7:48pm

BTW, this is why it's great to have a driver. I can go to pretty much, any place in town and get my food, fresh & hot, in the back of the limo.
6   MrMagic   2019 Jan 8, 7:56pm

Ahhh, a "meat substitute" burger at White Castle. What could be better?

Just wondering, when did any of their other burgers ever contain any meat. Most of the stoners that go there at midnight couldn't tell anyway.
7   kt1652   2019 Jan 8, 7:59pm

Rin does your driver buy your condoms for you? lol.
Honest question, do you use condoms?
Last time I use a rubber was 20 yrs ago with a ho.

First thing first, in Boston, there's no boinking. I refuse to boink in the United States of America.

What you're talking about is when I arrive at Montreal airport, that Yves Gauthier (not his real name but a stereotypical French-Canadian one) picks me up at the airport for the trip to a five star hotel in downtown.

But no, Yves doesn't bring the condoms, that's my job or the pharmacy's one across the street.
9   kt1652   2019 Jan 8, 8:24pm

Rin you're an animal. I want to be you, but I like my woman sans rubber. I boinked hoes, some big tits some small tits, all beautiful.

If I lived in Boston like Rin, I would also need a driver; the streets and other drivers there are a nightmare.

I haven't tried White Castle since In-n-out burger is so awesome I am unable to be interested.

Absolutely!

This is why I never understood all the Tesla & luxury sporty cars threads. If anything, I hate driving. My old Accord is sitting in the basement garage, collecting dust. At the rate it's being used, it'll probably last more than 40 years. Seriously, the last time I drove it, I was fully irritated by all the traffic & stupid drivers on the road.

I get all over the place, while eating, drinking, reading, and watching lectures a/o movies in comfort. I have zero interest in watching the unfolding accidents on the highway, unlike half the buffoonish drivers out there.

In fact, every 4 days, I have my driver start it up and drive it around the block, just so it's drivable long term w/o stagnant components & fluids. That's perhaps 10-12 miles per month.

I would think that if being chauffeured, that the ability to rubberneck wrecks would be one of the perks.

It's one of those things, where after you've seen accidents for over a couple of decades, it grows old.

I'd rather be smelling the fresh Beef Wellington's flaky crust w/ mushroom paste, nibbling away, and sipping on my gin.

Rin you're funny. Fat-wallet buys condoms at a drug store. Amzn will ship an endless supply discretely.

You have driver but keep a beater Accord. Dont make sense. lol.

First of all, cash equals no computer record. And Amzn is a full data mining company, I only trust 'em with classic rock music as that makes me look generic.

Makes complete sense, I only need that car for when I'm not being driven around and thus, makes me look middle class to the rest of the world.

And the Accord looks brand new, as I got it re-painted last year.
19   kt1652   2019 Jan 9, 10:40am

I see, you'd rather risk running into Auntie Mae with a big box of rubber than buying online something totally acceptable.
And btw, high class hookers provide condoms.
20   Shaman   2019 Jan 9, 10:49am

I had five guys burger last month for the first time. Really good! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and was not expensive. Closest thing to that I’ve had was a high end Japanese beef burger at a nice restaurant.

That I know, but I have a few for backup.

I have no Aunts in MTL. And I only need a few, remember backup, so in effect, it's a set with mouthwash, toothpaste, etc, which is pretty anonymous, esp up in MTL downtown.
22   Rin   2019 Jan 9, 10:57am

In fact, I've never run into a Bostonian up in Montreal by accident. It's almost as if all of us, who go up to Montreal, do it strategically. Ppl either show up as a group or they don't.

In contrast, I've run into Bostonians all over New Hampshire, Vermont, Upstate NY, etc.

I've never understood the car thing myself. Even if you drive a ton. A to B is the purpose. Doing it in a $25k car or a $75k car doesn't make a difference in the task at hand. Paying more for a fancy car has always seemed like a small dick phenomenon to me or you're wearing an insecurity suit.

I do get trucks for work and what not if you're hauling shit, but even then, get the cheapest one if you're "actually" working since you're going to beat it up. I hate seeing little dudes driving massive, decked out pickup trucks to an office complex. It's like, dude, insecure much? Could be a midlife crisis I suppose.

I also like the middle class thought you had. You drive a fancy car, sure, you might get some positive attention. People are judgmental though, and you'll probably get treated lesser in my opinion, at least by service industry types. They resent you for having a nice car. Better off laying low when wealthy or getting some silly muscle car (Mustang, Camero, etc.) as that's affordable for the most part to average Joe. But it still makes you look like you just got out of a cold swimming pool...

This is actually not my idea. There are a number of old New England money types, who live exclusively on their ancestors' inheritances but live ordinary lives. The idea of being ostentatious is very Californification-like or Wall Street, not New England.

In my neck of the woods, fancy cars and showing off ... equals Noveau Riche. And as far as I'm concerned, when I do go to business gatherings, showing up in livery service does the job, as far as being 'seen' as an executive with an expense account.

You sound like a right bloke here, mate. Or has part of Boston maintained its English heritage?
28   HeadSet   2019 Jan 9, 2:32pm

Some of the wealthiest people I've met, never appeared to be wealthy and seemed to be common people & social, without putting up a front.

I concur, but with a caveat - Some of the self made first generation wealthy people act like common folk. Their offspring act like they think they are a cut above.

So yes, some of it lives on. And while I was not born rich, I can at least keep it going with some new money because not all noveau riche are like those Wall Street or Californicator losers.

I was referring to your culinary choice. Beef Wellington and gin are as mainline English as bangers and mash or a chipper shop.

FYI, a vast majority of Old New England money is of British descent and thus, you see the parallels to English culture today.

But yes, we're all suppose to be pro-Independence though I was told that a few of my ancestors were Tories and against the revolution. Unlike the Boston Irish, the Brits aren't suppose to wave the Union Jack around town.
