Extremely disturbing footage of the aftermath of a giant fireball that burst from an illegal gasoline pipeline tap near a small town north of Mexico City has surfaced online.

As we reported earlier, at least 66 people have been confirmed dead after a geyser of gasoline ignited at the site of the illegal tap, instantly engulfing the surrounding area in flames.

Reports from the scene described piles of charred bodies so badly burned that responders struggled to separate and identify the individuals.

A very similar case happened in Nigeria. People drilling into a gasoline pipe to steal gas, then an explosion and mass deaths.

Interestingly, you can view the video here or on Zerohedge without logging into Youtube, but if you try directly on Youtube, it makes you log in.

Not to politicize the thread, but one party wants to import these people en masse. This kind of stupid shit doesn't happen in the US....yet.

It's also interesting that the youtube video, if you are on youtube has a message that says RT is funded by the Russian government.

Has anyone blamed the explosion on one of Howard Stern's farts yet?

The bias in the press is amazing.

Then again, it follows naturally from the amazing lack of diversity in people involved in the press:

Here's a video in broad daylight of the thing gushing. They are carrying buckets to get the gasoline. These people are insane.

Readers may not know that one of the first priorities of the new president of Mexico "AMLO" was to curtail the theft of gasoline throughout Mexico.

My friend was complaining that this was producing slow down in distribution and shortages while he was in Guadalajara over the Christmas holidays.

Mexico has a huge problem from their history of being conquered/abused by whoever was in charge at the time. They dislike others having more than they and this is ingrained in their culture. There are actually laws which allow squatters to put up shanty towns on someone's land and if they live there long enough the govt. helps them to claim it as their own; amazing but true.

When I lived in Mexico it was always surprising how clever thieves were and later when I complained to friends they would tell me "you didn't protect your property enough." I was always the one at fault for not exercising more extreme care. This makes life in such places so very stressful; the society is completely opposite to what you may be accustomed to. The most shocked are those who come down from Canada; they are excessively polite up there and extremely naive as to the ways of people in Mexico.

An imaginary Mexica guy laments: "First the Aztecs kidnapped, sacrificed, (then ate?) us, then the Spanish enslaved us, later we had foreigners running things, then assholes like Santa Ana lost our territory, then the PRI dictatorship for 71 years, then narcos took over half of the country."

The theft of the gasoline is not surprising but the video is really dramatic.

Doesn't the usa have a law kinda like that too? I think if they live in a seemingly abandoned house for 10+ years they can claim it, I think if nobody contests it. Something like that.

Mexico is a failed narco state.

My parents and I have always lived in CA and pretty much every property/burglery/robbery theft we have had has been by a Mexican. From this and what I've seen travelling in Mexico this is no surprise.

Wow that was a hellish video!

Agree with RC. I’m on the neighborhood watch page and every single burglary or theft which has been caught on camera or the perps caught by police... it’s always Mexicans or blacks. Disappointing to say the least.
Cultural problems for both groups.
If people don’t belong here or have a buy-in to the country where they must be good citizens to be accepted or acceptable, they pull criminal shit constantly.

I haven’t had any problems with Latinos who are citizens or otherwise invested in their community. Generous and friendly people for the most part.

Just build the damn wall and only let people in who are going to be good neighbors instead of liabilities.

My friend sent me pictures of Pemex stations in her part of Mexico (Nuevo Leon state) where there is no gasoline available.

Places that have gasoline have car lines 10 blocks long.

Criminal behavior eventually catches up with everything good people try to accomplish. Mexico has a problem; the govt. can't afford a real police force.
