Ha. The article talks about the new SALT limitations. I used to hit AMT hard every year and so lost the SALT anyway. I saved money this year with Trump plan — slightly more generous tax rates and vastly more generous AMT rates.

Basically, flat-out 28% tax on 100% of my earnings via AMT is worse than the Trump rates, which take a while to scale beyond 28% and still offer at $12k standard deduction. If you're earning so much money you are in the 39% bracket, then you were not paying AMT before, so you are benefitting from slight more generous brackets.
