“These parents are a catalog of wealth and privilege,” Lelling said Tuesday. “This case is about the widening corruption of elite college admissions through the steady application of wealth combined with fraud.”

A court affidavit details how Huffman and her husband, actor William H. Macy, paid $15,000 to a California-based charity that arranged for their older daughter to take her SAT in a testing center that would “secretly correct her answers afterwards.” Their daughter received a score 400 points over what she received in her preliminary SAT.

Huffman won an Emmy in 2005 for her work playing a leading role on “Desperate Housewives.”

Huffman and Macy made the payment on Feb. 27, 2018, which was disguised as a donation that would allow the charity to “move forward with our plans to provide educational and self-enrichment programs to disadvantaged youth.”

One week before she cut the check to fraudulently boost her older daughter’s SAT score, Huffman tweeted that “every woman and girl has the right and deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and live up to their fullest potential without the barrier of poverty.”

Huffman issued multiple tweets in 2018 advocating for women’s rights and pay equality. In May she tweeted that she was “moved” by the One Campaign’s #PovertyIsSexist movement, with the accompanying picture stating “none of us are equal until all of us are equal.”

@FelicityHuffman
Happy birthday Senator @KamalaHarris. Your effort to speak up, fight back, and continuously crush glass ceilings is inspiring. My 16 year old daughter is going into politics because of you. #TheFutureisFemale

They meant "self-enrichment programs to intellectually disadvantaged youth". Not poor people.

She meant "*my* girl has the right and deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and live up to her fullest potential without the barrier of her SAT score poverty."

"But some of us are more equal than others."

One more time ...

Al Gore Jr, former VP of the United States of America, flunked out of Vanderbilt Law. The dean of the law school contacted his dad, Tennessee senator Al Gore Sr and asked that if junior submitted a term paper, that he could be passed through the program. Junior, being the lazy shit that he was, didn't even do that and flunked out of law school.

So how did a person, who's not even able to pass his first year of law school, suppose to have been admitted to Harvard undergrad where everyone's an alleged genius/valedictorian of sorts?

I'm sorry but I know countless ppl, who didn't fail at law school. And many of them did not get accepted to a place like Harvard undergrad.

Yes, but that was before Al invented the internet, and in an era of different journalistic standards. Now folks have instant access to an infinite amount of information and disinformation. Less economic opportunity, and Boom!
