No they don’t, I’ve been to other countries.

Cheaper yes, better heck no. And it’s only cheaper where people got no money to pay. Broke asses everywhere.

Even now, the US states with the best civic goods like roads, libraries, schools, and social programs are exactly those states that are most homogeneous, like Vermont. The states with the shittiest civic goods are the most diverse, like California.

Well said again, Patrick. Case in point, what is the root cause for all the turmoil with the Los Angeles County Public School System ? Teachers went on strike because of oversized classes, demand for ESL instructors, etc. LA County costs went up higher than the property tax and other tax revenue receipts. Now LA County was able to stop the teacher strike, and is proposing a property tax increase of 7%.

Soon, the AntiFa Left will ban certain words or descriptions that identify the root causes (i.e., open border, unfair trade due to globalism, etc.).

Many years ago I recall a friend telling me he attended a lecture by Professor Larry Sabato at University of Virginia.

One of the questions was about population trends in Northern Virginia, particularly towns like Manassas Park where math test scores were going down, property values were decreasing, chickens were raised and corn was grown in the front yards, etc. Ironically, a local high school named after Stonewall Jackson had the highest Hispanic/Latino enrollment in Virginia.

Professor Sabato just said "demographics is destiny" and said he'll leave it at that.

My friend translated this as "an oversupply of 3rd world immigrants just means the USA becomes more 3rd world" especially since there is no effort to a melting pot assimilation.

Good point. Jordan Peterson pointed out that too.

Frankfurt school learned long ago that different people won’t care for plight of others. Blacks don’t care for whites, Hispanics, Asians, etc... no one does. so cohesiveness goes out the window.

As a rule, the willingness of the public to fund all kinds of civic goods is directly proportional to the ethnic and linguistic homogeneity of a country.

Simply put, we have shitty things because we have too much diversity.

Sweden had nice things because almost everyone used to be Swedish. Being taxed to support Sven's grandmother was acceptable because any given voter was quite likely related to Sven and therefore to her.

Being taxed to support Mohammed's grandmother who arrived in Sweden explicitly to sponge off of the system Swedes set up, well, that's a harder sell.

Even now, the US states with the best civic goods like roads, libraries, schools, and social programs are exactly those states that are most homogeneous, like Vermont. The states with the shittiest civic goods are the most diverse, like California.

The melting pot and a strong sense of nationalism can overcome the harm of diversity, but it takes many decades, even centuries, before mos...

If you read about the Balkans or Yugoslavia, after Tito died the economy started to go downhill. As the socieoeconomics declined, there were more visible fractures between different ethnic groups.

The USA has been a successful melting pot because it has been a growing and innovative economy.

The Left especially its AntiFa elements have turned against that with globalism (unfair trade) and open borders causing its economic decline.

And the Left have now proposed the solutions (i.e., authoritarian socialism like the ChiComs) to fix the problems that they created.
