Just happened. Apparently it's because of an interview with Alex Jones. Keep in mind this guy has interviews with everybody from Mike Tyson to Brian Cox (physicist)
I'm telling you, I think the people in that department that handles this shit is a bunch of left wing interns with way too much control over who or what can do.
Google needs to fix this shit with themselves and their subsidiaries if they want to stay out of the trashbin of history. Business has to stay out of politics if it wants to be a business.
Sam Harris and Jordan Peterson left patreon in protest of some things that were banned there, and were talking about starting their own similar venueto support vloggers and online content. They need a youtube type vehicle too. It wouldn't be that hard these days to start something like that up. IT's going to be interesting to see what they do - and whether they follow through. For that matter, whether the powers that be let them. I'm sure there must be a lot of tech people that would like to help.
This is going to get interesting. Youtube is fucking up big time.
I agree it has to be some purple-dyed hair intern or junior level type at YouTube summarily doing the banning and censoring. They are going to get a lot of backlash from this and cause a lot to find another service.
The banning spree. ALEX JONES IS BANNED (Hear those words in loud booming voice) THEN ANYONE WHO HAS HIM ON IS ALSO BANNED, (said the little man behind the curtain) DON'T LOOK BEHIND THE CURTAIN!
Even if he didn't break any rules,it doesn't matter to them. To them Alex Jones is completely unacceptable and by extension so are millions of his fans, who also feel disparaged) And Rogan just had Twitter founder Jack Dorsey on too, talking about banning conservatives. Boy if this story doesn't make the point!
Alex Jones is an unperson.
He's uploading everything to Vimeo.
UPDATE: It was Media Matters for America (SOROS)
