Iran Labels U.S. Military ‘Terrorist’ Group After Trump Administration Blacklists IRGC

Iran’s leading security apparatus on Monday designated the U.S. military a “terrorist organization” in response to the Trump administration’s decision to label the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a foreign terror organization.

“Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has labeled American military forces as a terrorist organization,” Iran’s state-run television reported, according to Reuters.

“This unprecedented step, led by the Department of State, recognizes the reality that Iran is not only a state sponsor of terrorism, but that the IRGC actively participates in, finances and promotes terrorism as a tool of statecraft,” President Donald Trump said in announcing the measure.

It blocks any assets that IRGC entities may have in U.S. jurisdictions and bars Americans from any transactions with it. When it takes effect next week, it will allow the U.S. to deny entry to people found to have provided the Guard with “material support” or prosecute them for sanctions violations. That could include European and Asian companies and businesspeople who deal with the Guard’s many affiliates.

Obama probably pressured OxFam and the Nobel Peace Committee to give the IRGC a Peace and Humanitarian prize.

I think that was a ploitical move, more as a slap in the face to Bush than a gift to Obama, who didn't deserve it obviously since he had done nothing to deserve it. It is doubtful they would have given him the peace prize after Libya.

I'm hoping something sets off a thermonuclear war.
I will get to see just how the Bad Ass Clever Apes can handle some nasty shit.

Radiation burns on one's loved ones are entertaining.
Slow death from ingested radiation should win an Academy Award.

Everyone enjoys a fight but don't want to be forced to participate.
