Not just any fish, the extremely rare endangered Pupfish.
Their only habitat is surrounded by 10 foot chain link fence, but even that wasn't enough to keep these drunken assholes from going in there and fucking it all up. Endless hundreds of square miles of desert to carouse about in and they have to break into the protective enclosure.
As someone who owns rural property that is always menaced by idiots like this, a year in jail sounds light.
