Some pundits believe the Deep State is in control of both sides. Trump won't go after anybody seriously, he'll just use the Mueller stuff as a platform to attack Democrats in the next election cycle. Obama, IHLlary , FBI, CIA etc. will all get a hall pass after a lot of posturing and noise.
The theory is that all of the drama is provided purely as Deep State psyops, who keep the players in motion for the mere purpose of preoccupying the public with their favorite teams. People need and want affiliation in opposition to each other, so the psyops feeds their appetite for competition and ostensible "winning or losing". In other words, it's ALL a psyops. It's an ongoing soap opera, with villains, heroes, plots, dirty fighting, cheating, misdirection, phony moralizing and high mindedness, disgraceful lying, dramatic proclamations, "breaking news, barf", players changing sides and alliances etc. etc., just like the soaps they broadcast everyday for the bon bon munching house fraus. No politician is really in control, and everybody is already owned and auditioned by the Shadow Elites/ Globalists etc. for their roles and casting couch sessions. Both sides have their cheer leaders and programmed pundits.
I don't know if that is true, but if Trump DOESN'T go after somebody(s) and get them in the slammer, rather than just waiting out the short public attention span and letting it go, I would be inclined to believe the Deep State Soap Opera Theory of things.
Whether these things wind up having real world consequences is the true test. With Obama, no banker went to jail. Mueller kept a fake investigation going for over two years that he KNEW was fake after a month or two. It's the stuff that has the real world consequences that is the most interesting, like the media figures heads rolling.
