And even some who think women should be kept in harems purely for reproduction.

State Reps have to endure primary fights. This means a majority of Democrats found her acceptable from among other Democrats - often (not always) in a Democrat-only primary.

The 45th Illinois District is apparently a heavily populated, 77% White Suburb, and it's a purple county where she only beat the Republican by less than 1%.

If this is the kind of extremist that Democrat Suburban voters choose, pretty spooky.

And yes, Unrestricted Abortion on Demand is an extreme position held by 1/7th of the population, roughly equal to those who want it totally banned. The vast majority of the public WANTS third trimester abortion bans.

Representatives represent for the people who elect them. They can’t be an outlier nutjob by definition!
