There has been a dramatic reduction of death and violence from war since America became the "Evil Empire."

The US should get credit for the remarkable peace and prosperity from the last half century of being the preeminent warring nation in the world.

You think that might impact the markets?

They will get their asses handed to them on a plate a-la April 18, 1988. What happened to the markets on that day? Did it matter in the grand scheme of things?

Sometimes it’s not enough to simply growl to prove you’re the biggest baddest dog on the block. You have to actually tear someone’s ass off to maintain respect.
Iran has been asking for it.

"The US wants Iran to end all its nuclear and missile programmes, withdraw its forces from Syria, stop its "destabilising" policies in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Gulf, and cease its support for armed groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis in exchange for negotiating a new nuclear deal.
No one would have been more surprised than the US itself if Iran had said yes to any of it. These demands basically constitute total Iranian surrender, not only to the US but also to Israel and Saudi Arabia, Trump's key regional partners and principle drivers behind the new Iran policy."

US labeled Iran Revolutionary Guard as Foreign Terrorist, that means open season for our military to attack, kill Iranian troops anywhere, anytime. There had been Middle East sources reporting US planes bombing Iranian troops in Syria.

Trump is placing a strangulation hold on Iranian people with a total oil export embargo.
This is old fashioned gun-boat diplomacy.
When Iranians are desperate and fight back, our superior military will slaughter them.
There is no need to declare war when a superior aggressor’s action directly lead to no other option but war.

Why? For Israel? Saudi Arabia? Petro-dollar hegemony? Re-election?

War should be the absolute last resort for defense.

Not on the people but on the regime. The same regime the people protested against on many occasions and were brutally supressed.

I’ll be the first to say that we have no business screwing around in affairs of the Middle East. But going after Trump with what every president has done before him is ridiculous; we would probably be in multiple full ground conflicts if it was Hillary as our president. Liberals will be complaining no matter what Trump does, and every administration before his has totally fucked things up and made things worse since becoming world police. Their culture and way of life is not compatible with ours we should not be there and they should not be coming here.

Not on people but on the regime.

Justification of a bully.
"These measures are pushing the Iranian economy to the brink. Oil exports, which have already dwindled from 2.5 million to less than 1.3 million barrels a day since last year, could drop even further, crippling the state budget. Ordinary Iranians, who are already suffering from the raging inflation (currently at 40 percent) and skyrocketing prices of goods, will likely bear the brunt of Washington's push to bring Iranian oil exports to zero. And this is only the beginning."

Ordinary Iranians are not fond of the regime. There has been many mass protests over the recent 10-12 years.

Arrogant beyond believe. This is the basic logic used to justify the West's robbing, and looting everything, in all corners of the world for centuries.
This game, we played on Venezuela.
Sanction, embargo, freezing assets, destabilize the country.
When the society is near total collapse, we send our troops in to avert an humanitarian crisis.
Good guys.

In reality, most of the movements labeled as communist by the United States were largely concerned with achieving independence and democratic control over local resources and were usually represented by the vast majority of each respective country’s population. In its quest to stop communism, the United States was actually waging a war on independence and democracy—in many cases literally overthrowing democratically elected governments—to serve the interests of U.S.-based corporations and banks
In 1954, the Eisenhower administration orchestrated a coup against the democratically elected government of Jacobo Árbenz after he instituted badly needed land reform and other social democratic measures, such as introducing a minimum wage and expanding voter rights. United Fruit, a U.S.-based corporation, was unhappy with the loss of “their” land in Guatemala to Guatemalan peasants and lobbied the U.S. government to overthrow Árbenz.
In Cuba, the United States began a campaign of sabotage and economic strangulation after Fidel Castro’s movement took power in 1959 and overthrew the U.S.-backed dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
In Brazil, the Johnson administration assisted in overthrowing the democratically elected government of João Goulart in 1964.
In Chile, the Nixon administration supported the overthrow of the democratically elected Salvador Allende in 1973, and supported the dictator Augusto Pinochet, who presided over the torture and killing of tens of thousands of Chileans.
In 1979, the Reagan administration endeavored to punish the Nicaraguan people by funding and arming a right-wing terrorist group known as the Contras.
In the Middle East, the Eisenhower administration overthrew the democratically elected government of Mohammad Mosaddegh in Iran because he had nationalized the oil industry, upsetting the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (now BP).
U.S. intervention during the Cold War as Indochina — Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Dropping 7.5 million tons of bombs on the region. 400,000 tons of napalm. 19 million gallons of herbicides.
The invasion of Iraq in 2003 was justified in part on Iraq’s fictional ties to al-Qaida and its supposed responsibility for 9/11. The invasion and occupation resulted in the deaths of a million Iraqis, as well as spawning the terrorist group ISIS. The interventions in Afghanistan and Libya have been similarly devastating.

Right. What does your concience say about Venezuela situation? You mentioned "US robbing Venezuela". Isn't it funny how Venezuela was doing resaonably fine while "US was robbing it" and then slid into full-out shithole cituation when US stopped "robbing" it with its oil companies and was simply buying Venezuelan oil at market price.
