Picture the scene. You're taking your prodigiously talented son to compete at the World Chess Championships. You and your other half have been training him up for years to get to this moment in time; you've never felt so proud. He tugs on your jumper sleeve and points up at the logo above the entrance. "Dad, what is that naked human chessboard doing with it's legs squeezed between that other naked human chessboard's legs."

Your mouth has suddenly gone dry. "Do you and mummy ever play chess like that?"

This piece of rudimentary 'pawnography' was unveiled yesterday as the logo for the forthcoming World Chess Championship and immediately prompted online wags to liken it to a page from the Kama Sutra. The Championship's will be held in London, which has previous when it comes to dodgy emblems for sporting contests. Remember this effort from the 2012 Olympics (which may or may not look like a pile of Tetris blocks recreating a scene from Caligula)?

I just don't see anything in the first image, but some of the others are quite clear:

The Wisconsin Tourism Federation had to switch their name around to Tourism Federation of Wisconsin.

The parenthesis part was unnecessary. I spent 20 minutes trying to see how he could get an orgy out of that image before I read it again. It may not look like the Mona Lisa either.
