Also, if you're worried about Open Government in Florida, Broward County has spent millions trying to keep legally-mandated open records from being provided to the public, so they can keep hidden why they didn't spend money specifically granted for security on actual security. Worse, Broward then tried to redact some records they were ordered to release, the Sun-Sentinel reported that, and then the Broward Cowards tried to sue the newspaper for contempt. This is in addition to the financial and other reporting that Broward was required, but refused, to deposit with the state as open access public records.
