They are absolutely right. Cops themselves have stated time and again they are going to arrive after the fact to report what happened. They have no official duty that mandates they help people in trouble. Contrary to the brainwashed mantra of people who have never actually had to call the police.
When trouble is seconds from your door, the cops are minutes away.
Lock this Hero in Blue upLike someone said in a comment on the story, he'd be willing to bet money that at 56 he thought a job as a guard at a school would be a cushy job with no challenges that he could ride to retirement. Like people who join the military for all its educational benefits then are surprised when they're called up for duty.
