"Today, we're taking another step in our hate speech policy by specifically prohibiting videos alleging that a group is superior in order to justify discrimination, segregation or exclusion based on qualities like age, gender, race, caste, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status."

https://news.yahoo.com/youtube-ban-hateful-supremacist-videos-170733974.html

So if you make a video about veterans deserving superior treatment, that's hateful? Or elderly people?

Of course, I'll be shocked if they don't pull all the Praeger U. videos while leaving up the "Men should be castrated" "Whiteness is Toxic" and "Anti-Termite" videos will remain.

Regulators, mount up!

I dont know about other videos from PragerU. But 1 video from them said that India should be grateful that British ruled them. That my friend is a racist video.
2   Ceffer   2019 Jun 5, 3:15pm

I don't know if I have ever seen an overtly racist video on You Tube. They have some scholarly discussions of IQ, which invariably turn to race, but the tone is more mournful and depressed than racist.

Really? Being ruled by an outsider that brings modern values, technology, and ideas beats being ruled by a culture of castes and bride burning. Even Gandhi said he was very grateful for British rule and the improvements Britain brought to India. Discounting the ideas because the British were white seems racist.

More "racism:"

Britain should be grateful the Romans ruled them and brought civilization to savages.
Germany should be grateful the Americans ruled them and brought democracy over Nazism
Japan should be grateful the Americans ruled them rather than the Soviet Union

For starters, banning the practice of burning widows alive on the funeral pyre of their dead husbands.

“Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs.[To Hindu priests complaining to him about the prohibition of Sati religious funeral practice of burning widows alive on her husband’s funeral pyre.]”

Ending the Kali Kult of Thugees, from whence we get the word "Thug" from. Organized Bandits who covered up their looting as some kind of Kali worship. By mandating the death penalty, spending vast sums on a network of informants and spies, and offering King's (State's) Evidence, the British exterminated the Bandits who murdered tens of thousands of Indians every year, often by pretending to be caravan merchants themselves.

Also unifying India to begin with, which for most of it's history was a polyglot of states with an occasional Empire ruling a part of the Northern plains.

Building a shitload of Railroads, which opened up huge swaths of India to commerce and development.

Introducing their educational and civil service system, one of the best in the world, responsible for the success of Indian Entrepreneurship and Science.

Oh, I would never say cannons. The Mughals had firearms long before the British arrived. But I would say large scale capital investments in infrastructure (railways, canals and irrigation works, shipping and mining). Add the commercialization of agriculture with the development of a cash nexus. Now add the establishment of an education system in English (giving a common national language) plus law and order creating suitable conditions for the growth of industry and enterprise along with the integration of India into the world economy. Like I said, even Gandhi said the British greatly benefited India and wished for India and Britain to remain friends. Gandhi just felt it was time for the British to leave.

Hawaiians should lick the boots of Hoale, since if the US hadn't taken over Hawaii, the Japanese would have. Given the Japanese Imperial record in other Pacific Islands, the Hawaiians would have ceased to exist.

There is a discussion on the same topic in India now. How the british lied about it to whole world. This was practiced in one small section of the country and british lied as if all of India was following. This was happening is a province which was muslim controlled before british came.

Can you tell me how the british were uniters?

Indians were forced to pay for railways 3 times what was paid in England. Couldn't build it themselves?

And education system they developed by killing local education system. Which many believe was the reason for down fall of Indian ingenuity.

Sati was observed within Sikh aristocracy
sati practice continued during the colonial era, particularly in significant numbers in colonial Bengal Presidency (modern Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bangladesh and Assam
Jahangir, who succeeded Akbar in the early 17th century, found sati prevalent among the Muslims of Rajaur (Kashmir)

Misleading. Here is the Map of India before Europeans arrived in any numbers, circa 1500:

And this doesn't drill down into the many quasi-fiefdoms and independent city states. Even in the 19th Century, the British recognized hundreds of petty rulers in India.

And yet I'll hear the British didn't pay the Indians what they paid Britons...

Why would exploiters want to pay more for a transportation system that's key to exploiting the country?

That's like a diamond mine where the owner wants to overpay 300% for the mine workers or mine shaft drilling, unheard of (unless it's some kind of socialist program and he pays himself out of fake overages).

A few other things:
Modern Medicine that works (not Herbal crap, proven ineffectual when you look at average lifespans and child mortality)
Industrial Production
Idea of Democracy

How many voters were there in the Moghul or Vijayanagar Empire? Did untouchables or farmers get to vote for King Venkata III? How often was the Kingly Election? The Vijayanagar Parliament?

Link I could not find it. But a famous statistician from India quotes this statistic.
80000 is too many. But most of the cases it was woman's decision to do it. Not like burning witches in the west. If one woman wants to do it you cannot stop her unless the government has wherewithal. I think some woman would rather die than become sex slaves to muslims.
Jainism is another sect where old people who think they have no more use to this society kill themselves by stop breathing. Govt tries to stop them but they still do it.

You think I am discussing this here to correct some evil that happened in past? No.

I am discussing it here to show that you cannot even acknowledge others point of view but you want others to accept your.
It is usually a closeted racist who comes in defense of other racists.
Pewdiepie is a racist. He lives in UK and he became one just like them. British were calling Indian's names and he too started doing it when we started loosing to a Indian channel.
And yes being racist is not free speech.

I think "beliefs" cannot be governed by rules applied to speech. So you can believe what ever you want.
But if you are expressing the said beliefs which might affect whole section of people I think I am within my rights to call them that.
If someone uses the Goebbels logic I think its my right to call them on that.

There's no comparison between the UK and India. India is the most racist country in the world, survey after survey shows.
http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/most-racist-countries/

As President Mandela's Indian Bodyguard Sam Prakash agrees with African-American tourists and studenst, Indians are the most Racist towards blacks.

The US/UK does not have huge race riots involving hundreds of people dying that last for days every few years, unlike India.

Indians indicate more than anybody else that they prefer only to live near people like them. It's almost inverse to UK/US preferences. Given the proximity of Muslims, I understand this mentality.

While held up as a model of diversity, Leftists don't want people to actually know that Indians have major Class, Ethnic, and Religious battles on a regular basis.

Again believing, one can believe whatever people want. Propagating it is the problem.
You dont even know the situation in India and Pakistan. Even after 70yrs after freedom Indians are taught that pakistani's are better than India. That my friend is what happens to psyche after oppression. People just started recognising that India had better civilization compared to others. Again not culture, civilization. Again you are so hung up on race. Civilization has nothing to do with race - it is about culture.

Definition of civilization
1a : a relatively high level of cultural and technological development
specifically : the stage of cultural development at which writing and the keeping of written records is attained
b : the culture characteristic of a particular time or place

I did not know culture was important part of civilization. Then Indian civilization is not civilization. Indians didn't give a damn about culture because it is not permanent. Technology and knowledge is what represent's "indian culture" then. India is so vast and ancient that culture changes every 100miles. So there is no "indian culture" per se.
Some might complain that people are loosing their culture but changes keep happening.

Now you see.

If it was only about race, India would never change. As you point out, Indian culture is more about technology and knowledge these days hence the reason why Indians assimilate well into other countries (at least in America).

I'd argue that Britain had a big impact in changing India's culture by bringing in some modernity. Just like how Britain had a HUGE impact on America's culture.

Yes. Products of the Industrial Revolution, and learning how to use them, is entirely British in origin.

India did not have the steam or combustion engines prior to the British bringing them over, and teaching Indians how to maintain and build them.

Yeah - piss off with your racist charges.

India has made some great strides in recent years, but it still has massive problems - namely being one of the poorest places on earth. I think India is #2 behind Nigeria in number of people living in extreme poverty?

It is not racist or bigoted to point out that India's civilization has some work to do to catch up with the 1st world - if your civilization values the well being and economic health of its people.

If civilization was only based on race as you seem to contend, your country would absolutely be fucked....
