“I do not buy the concept, popular in the ’60s, which said, ‘We have suppressed the black man for 300 years and the white man is now far ahead in the race for everything our society offers. In order to even the score, we must now give the black man a head start, or even hold the white man back, to even the race,’ ” Biden told a Delaware newspaper in 1975. “I don’t buy that.”

Biden is right about that.

Now if only he had the integrity to maintain his truth-telling. Alas, it seems he does not.

In 2006, Biden also said the best way to halt the massive illegal immigration was to go after anyone who knowingly hires an illegal.

Exactly. It's one thing to balance the scales so everyone is on a level playing field. I think most logical people are cool with that. That's not what has happened.

The funny part is, even with advantages, African Americans still squander the benefits they get. If this makes sense, they need to remove themselves from each other. Their modern culture is at the heart of the issue.

I think many of the African Americans alive today, born in the 30-40's, would much prefer life in their younger years compared to now in the same neighborhoods. Even though there was still some blatant discrimination going on. Obviously part of that puzzle is outsourcing of jobs, but the culture now is frankly disgusting and basically asks you to be unproductive.
