The corporate media keeps shaming Torvalds for exercising free speech while ignoring much worse words from Microsoft executives including Bill Gates (who bribes the media to paint himself as a Saint). Is there a well-planned strategy here? Just earlier today we wrote about Microsoft ousting critics by embarrassing them in front of their employers (or blackmailing the employers into firing them). ...

Are they trying to sanitise the Linux Foundation for corporations like Microsoft, getting rid of charismatic people who simply, after provocation, say that unwanted code (for technical reasons) is like cow’s feces? ...

We recently mentioned Richard Stallman being silenced similarly [1, 2]

The problem is the very idea of a "Code of Conduct" (CoC) to impose ideological conformity on wrong-thinkers.

There should be no CoC forced up free software's ass.

I can't help but think that if the very people that were trying to string up Bill Gates by the Balls in the late 90's over his better Mouse Trap, had just left him alone.
And they just let Windows 98 play out. Windows would not have became the Internet back door clap trap that it turned into. And Bill Gates would not have left Microsoft to become the Globalization instigator and Globalist NGO enabler. I think that Globalization would not have been the unmitigated disaster dominated by Leftist Marxist crackpots that it turned out to be.

I think the world would be better off today had Bill Gates just stuck with his Microsoft CEO role. I'm certain Windows and Office would have been better products.

He turned into a Bond Villan when he assumed his Global do Gooder role.

This is a developer who won a Pwnie Award not just for his poor commitment to security, but his notoriously terrible attitude about it.

Great! I pretty much exclusively use Debian at home...

Feminism and Wokeness is becoming a back door to the sabotage of the Free Software ecosystem.

Thanks Pat for this article.

Trademark shift (from free to open to non-free)
“We can’t kill the GNU brand by owning it… we can still fight GNU [by] changing its association– we will continue to work to make them has-beens, neckbeards, amateurs, ideologues, zealots, and even bigots… We get more done using proxies and shills– the destruction of their brand is the polish on our own image. the gradual shift in public consciousness from their branding towards our own, is the next best thing to owning them…”

Bill Gates is an attention whore hypocrite. It's expected he would befriend another attention seeker like Warren Buffet. Whoever comments about him negatively is someone I probably would like.

His philanthropy is a bunch of bullshit; he knows he would have to give 40% of his wealth away to the US taxpayers when he dies; he prefers to spend it now while seeking the world stage and to change his image as a rapacious copycat/monopolist.

There of course should be no "code of conduct" imposed on free people; let Linus say whatever he wants to say.
